Benue: Buhari Will Never Be Part Of Any Unconstitutional Act – Presidency by Kayus4real: 8:38am On Jul 31, 2018 |
The Presidency on Tuesday said there was no truth in the claims that President Muhammadu Buhari has a hand in the move by minority members of the Benue State House of Assembly to remove the state governor , Samuel Ortom. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr . Femi Adesina , said this in a statement made available to journalists Adesina said Buhari would never be part of any unconstitutional act . He added that any attempt to link the President with the inglorious past , when minority number of lawmakers removed governors, will not stick. The statement read , “ Even while attending the ECOWAS/ ECCAS Summit in Togo , strident attempts were being made to drag President Muhammadu Buhari into the unfolding drama between the executive and the legislature in Benue State.“ Statements have been issued by different interest groups , insinuating that the President may have a hand in the development in Benue . “ This is paranoia at its worst , coming from people who have wittingly positioned themselves against the clean - up of the country, and the way we do things . They prefer business as usual. “ President Buhari will never be part of any unconstitutional act , and any attempt to link him with the inglorious past , when minority number of lawmakers impeached governors, will not stick. It will simply be like water off the duck's back. “ Those with open minds know this , but those who cavil would rather source everything untoward to the President . It is murky ground in which they are now marooned, as fallout of their resistance to change in the country. “ When it suits them , they preach separation of powers and true federalism, and in another breath , they call on the President to interfere brazenly in affairs at state level. “ President Buhari will always stand by all that is noble and fair , and will reject attempts to drag him into infamy . “ People who stoke fires by deliberate acts of omission or commission , and then summon the President to come and put it out will find that this President will be guided by the Constitution at all times , no matter the attempt to entangle him in unwarranted controversies . ” https://punchng.com/benue-buhari-will-never-be-part-of-any-unconstitutional-act-presidency/ 11 Likes 2 Shares

Who is the head and comnander of the armed forces of Nigeria? Who controls the police? Who appoints the IG of Police? Who appoints commissioners of police? Who does the state commisioner of police report to? Who has the power to draft police officers to locations around the country? The president and the Inspector General of Police. A group of police officers who ONLY answer to the IG and the president laid siege on Saraki, Ekweremadu and Benue state house of Assembly premises in show of force and impunity and the presidency is here claiming the President is not a party to it? If we should fall inside gutter right now and believe these lies and insult from the presidency, how many police officers have been arrested, tried and prosecuted for the incidents on Senate President and his deputy seven days ago? How many police police officers have been arrested for laying siege on Benue house of Assembly premises? Of couse none have been arrested because they are carrying out THE ORDERS OF THE PRESIDENT AND THE IG. A time will come in this shiithole where a battalion of Nigerian soldiers will invade a neighbouring country and police officers will attack, ransack state govt houses, hospitals, court premises, media houses and burn down properties while buhari and his INCOMPETENT IG claim ignorance. If the president will continue to pretend and claim ignorance to impunity and abuse of power by the police, how can he be trusted to secure lives and properties? And you wonder why hundreds of lives are being wasted daily in the country under this rudderless govt. Bloody useless govt. 131 Likes 16 Shares |

So, who gave orders to the police who championed the cause of injustice at the useless impeachment proceedings? Did the IG take action without checking with aso rock? Buhari keeps on lying. Now, he will be fooling himself that he has integrity. Where is the integrity? 59 Likes 7 Shares |

Buhari has been part of an Uncontitutional act since 1983, Everything, he has done since the past 3 yrs plus, has been Unconstitusional In fact, Unconstitutional should be part of Buhari's name. Staying 100 days plus in London was Constitusional? Invading of Home of Judge's in the middle of the night was Constitusional? Police invading the houses of the senate president and deputy senate pressident was Constitutional? Refusing to release detainees even when they have be granted bail, is Constitusional? This presidency should get the hell out. 25 Likes 4 Shares |

1. Who controls the Police? 2. What stops the president from strongly condemning the act publicly. Oh I remember. He is yet to condemn the over 177 corps members that were killed during the 2011 post election violence in the north. The convener of the dog and baboon blood fight is a man of integrity. He doesn’t condemn what he supports. 56 Likes 5 Shares |

He may not be directly linked, the Hon. Members of the Benue State House may have been emboldened by the fact that they control the center & that nothing will happen if they carry out their scheme. And probably with Senator Akume stoking the fire and with the active connivance of the Police, what else do you expect? The President should Learn to be on top of his game & speak up immediately where necessary to avoid unnecessary backlash. 1 Like |

For those still wondering.... Buhari does not run d affairs of this country, he is currently too old to be able to handle the problems of 36 states. Those that do are ruthless, and want him to continue so they can gain money and lead this nation to hell. Buhari himself can't order that, he doesn't even know what is happening in this country. 2 Likes |
