INEC on their twitter handle reacted to news about voters and observers being chased away by thugs in some units. In their tweet they promised to notify security operatives to take necessary action.

INEC is disturbed about reports that accredited media and observers are being arrested or prevented from operating in some polling units. This is being taken up with the security agencies.
