Funny, these are very intelligent people who don't realize that it's their intelligence, persistence, and hard work - not the charms - that's the reason for their success. I'm not saying what they're doing is right, I'm just saying they could have achieved all this and more without any charms.

Ironic too is that these are very intelligent people whose skills Nigeria could be harnessing to build software, build companies, and innovate. Unfortunately, the leaders that stole billions will now imprison these very same minds that could help us generate trillions.
I am suspecting you.........why should dey not give them 5 years each

Just imagine how crooks on this forum are supporting criminality. I wish I can show you those that started the business long before it was known as yahoo. Many are in pains some are dead. Many with the benefit of hindsight are regretting ever going the way of 419 or yahoo or whatever you call it.
There is always hell to pay and if man doesn't get you nature will deal with you. Don't ever think you will amount to anything meaningful in life through the tears from other people.
I personally know a guy serving life in China some are even dead and it will soon be your turn if you don't change.
Your wisdom is foolishness before God. find something clean to do for a living.

The bolded. These people have committed crimes, and ordinarily should serve their term. Their crimes stem from poverty and lack of opportunities, but does not really diminish their technical brilliance - which can be harnessed for good.

What's going to happen is that, rather than spend State funds to rehabilitate them, invest in them and their ideas into useful positive things, we're going to spend State funds to prosecute and incarcerate them. After their 5-year terms, what next? They will be just as poor with fewer opportunities (being older, bitter, with a criminal record, and out of the latest tech), and society won't really be better off for having such brilliant minds among us. The irony I was pointing out is that the prosecution by the State will be on behalf of senators, presidents, governors, LGA chairmen and civil servants (who constitute government), that have stolen this country blind.

I'm not supporting crime, 419, yahoo, yahoo+, or whatever we're calling it now, but our response is typical of how we waste our natural resources without thinking of how to really harness them.

Very sad to see this young guys turning themselves to marabou even as educated fellow..what are they learning in schools this days ,I think Soyinka and co started occultic movement in our university and now the children has leverage on that move. Now the same set of people complaints about the decadence of our national body polity .Am sure God must be laughing at the eccentricity of man.

Na everyone be thief... But only few who were caught be barawo

One way or the other, we are all involved in one criminal act or the other, just to sustain as Nigerians. The EFCC will only receive their own cut of the money and declare them not guilty . "That's the world we live in"

These guys are investors. They raise capital to buy laptops and other tools required... Subscriptions is not friendly in Nigeria as 3k monthly sub can't last 2weeks.

They EXPORT lies and IMPORT dollars, just exactly the way our political office holders does with our Taxes, yet they tagged Yahoo guys criminals and hail Corrupt politicians.

I'm not trying to say what these guys are doing is right "most especially the vodoo". All I'm trying to point out is the fact that a pot is not supposed to be calling a kettle black. They are birds of the same feather and that's why they flocks together in buying luxuries to intimidate few of innocent Nigerians. God bless Nigeria

They are lucky they were caught in Nigeria.
If it was the US, their lives are over. No country celebrates criminals
and crooks because they are a drag on a country's reputation.
