How can a man who claims he has what it takes to lead a nation be corrupt right from his home. Let’simagine having a president whose wife is just as corrupt as he is. Who will correct who? As the saying goes, Charity begins at home.

Atiku’s 4thwife, Jennifer Abubakar, a lawyer, is known to be his corruption backbone as she was at the forefront ofhelping her husband with illegal transactions. She assistedher husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States through wire transfers sent by offshore corporations to U.S. bank accounts.At a point the managements of the multiple bank accounts opened in the US,began to question the offshore wire transfers. Just then did Jennifer reveal that the funds came from her husband, Atikuand professed little familiarity with the offshore corporations from which the funds were been transferred.

This corruptact by the Abubakars is a dirt that can never be wiped and shouldn’t be allowed to stain Nigeria as a country. Unlike Buhari’s wife, Aisha, who has zero tolerance for corruption but would rather stand to her opinion on how governance ought to be and corrupt persons in power eradicated.
