For hours, he stays awake.
The accumulation of vivid aches.
The cruelty of constant vigils...
his sleep always at a standstill.

Horror harasses his heart
as he dodges devilish darts.
He ensures our sound sleep.
Still his wife endlessly weeps.

A soldier from sole to crown!
He couldn't let Nigeria down.
He romances death for our happiness...
a sacrifice in a game of chess.
