Kindly look for where you can volunteer yourself, without any pay, around you, it could be a drycleaner shop, help them in whatever capacity without any pay, if you're are Christian, then go to your church and engaged in every day work in the church office. It must be without any pay. Within the shortest time you will start selecting jobs...

You don't get invites?.. and I know someone who gets a minimum of 10 invites every week but doesn't attend them due to lack of t-fare.

With no offense meant, suggesting where to go,especially, volunteering would serve and save this dude. I am sure if he had known where to volunteer, at most will do that. I see it that when people don't want to help they make reasons.

Pls if you can help, be specific and tell XYZ location/office he can get help.

OP: Just keep pushing, manage yourself, don't stay alone thinking... I am in your shoe but I believe God to touch man anytime soon.

Life is funny, I rejected a 60k job recently in Lagos through a recommendation.

Though I ain't in the state.
