Bello Garba, first son of State Security officer Garba Bello, killed his parents and siblings in a grisly murder, Nigerian Police in Kano announced today. The 23-year old boy confessed to the killings, according to the Kano state commissioner of police, who said the youth is under arrest. Bello is a student of Kano State University of Science and Technology, Wudil. According to police sources, Bello killed his father, his mother Habiba (40) and three of his siblings identified as Hafsat (16), Khalifa (14), and Murjatu (5) early Monday. Police sources said they found a clue from Farouk his little brother who had escaped by jumping over the fence of the house. Bello confessed to killing his family members and father, who had been ill for some time, because he was afraid that he could not support the family whenever he dies. source |
