According to the sultan of sokoto,he said that northern rulers are not to blame for the increase in kidnapping,robbery and banditry in the north.it is even shocking to see how shortsighted the northern elites are,the problems of violence in the north has reach a tipping point,all the years they neglected to develop human resources in there area is now coming back to haunt them,if you have a child and don't have a plan on how to develop the child to be resourceful ,than it's like a vehicle without brakes, headlights or steering,the issue of terrorism,robbery, banditry,has it's roots to the poor mindset of the average northerner towards education,the prevalence of satellite TVs and internet has shown the almajiri that he's missing the good
life and he wants that,by any means necessary !!!
