This is the Scene of the train accident that happened about Noon today in Maikukele Village in Minna State. The train left Lagos since Friday evening with destination as Kano making stops at Abeokuta, Ibadan, Offa with different challenges at every stop spending over 8 hours to fix the challenges before moving on. Biggest challenge was when the train was abandoned at Erunmu with passengers in 16 Carriages and the loco was used to go transport a container carrying goods that would be commissioned in Kaduna on Tuesday. The Passengers had to stage an uprising and went to Iwo to bring back the Loco to pull the Carriages so the Journey can continue. The journey continued with all the wahala until it got to Minna where it derailed off the track overturning about Six Carriages. Both first class carriages were a total wreck and four other 2nd class Carriages. There was no death recorded but many sustained injuries and properties were lost in the wreck. There is no idea of measures being taken by the Nigerian Railway Authorities to evacuate passengers from that bush with all the unreasonable things happening these days. People are stranded especially Women with Children who still have a far distance to go..
