The man charged with holding police at bay with a fire extinguisher and a broken bottle to get an audience with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got bashful Friday morning, refusing to explain what he wanted with the freshman congresswoman.

“Nah, bro, I don’t want to give my side of the story,” Douala Hashi, 31, said during an exclusive jailhouse interview where he is being held after failing to make bail.

The Somali-born man was busted Wednesday on contempt charges for returning to the progressive lawmaker’s office in Jackson Heights after he was warned to stay away.

Police hit him with stalking charges for three other visits to AOC’s office when he tried to talk to her and became violent when he was rebuffed.

Hashi hasn’t explained why he wants to meet with Ocasio-Cortez or why he violated the judge’s order not to contact her.

He was charged with criminal mischief on June 15 for spraying a fire extinguisher on the same floor as the lefty firebrand’s office. Carrying a broken bottle, he ducked into a utility closet before he was handcuffed.

Hashi never actually entered her office that time, police said.

Judge Jerry Iannece set bail at $2,500, leaving Hashi to stew in jail until his next court date. The judge also warned Hashi to stay away from Ocasio-Cortez and two aides when he does get out.

Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most outspoken lawmakers in Congress and has become a lightning rod for supporters and critics alike. She complains that she is deluged by death threats whenever she criticizes President Trump.
