Update:

I watched the NTA News report about the meeting and it was more detailed.

The Toyota executives accepted the offer to set up an assembly plant, but they had certain requests/conditions.

1) They want the government to be involved in the plant.

And this is because:


2) They want the importation of 2nd hand cars to be stopped.


3) They want the government to create a mortgage/hire-purchase system so that it will be easier for Nigerians to own cars.

Find another location for the assembly plant, everything mustn't be in Lagos alone (West), we have the North, South N East too
