One of the challenges in Christianity is differentiating between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

This has created some misunderstanding and given birth to various factions and denominational doctrines within the same Christianity.

I pray that together with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word, we will be able to clarify these differences.

Primarily the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament is in the Extension of Salvation to the Whole World.

-Salvation is no longer for the chosen tribe of the Jews alone but now to all nations (the whole world). A fulfillment of God's Promise to Adam and Eve and also to Abraham, through their seed Jesus Christ.

Because of the New Testament there is no more distinction between Jews or Gentiles, we are all Chosen once we have Faith in God through Jesus Christ.

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.

Genesis 22:15-18
Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

Galatians 3:6-9
Just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

Galatians 3:26-29
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The new testament is just roman fabrication and rebranded paganism... Worship of a man as God.. And human sacrifice.. Which are all forbidden by God in the Tanakh...

Do not worship the likeness of anything in heaven or on earth or under the waters below the earth.. Worshipping a man as God which is something found on earth is prohibited by God..

The new convenant God promised the jews was a convenant of everlasting peace.. In Jeremiah and ezekiel..

You can answer that your self.. Is there peace on earth?

Isaiah says "men will hammer their sword into ploughshares and learn of war no more"..

Your guess is as good as mine..

God NEVER asked anybody to believe in the death of a Messiah to be saved.. If you sin, confess and forsake.. 2nd chronicle 7 :14

The answer to your question is not mine to reveal.
All I will say is that there's peace for all who are in the Kingdom of God.
I hope to address this on another thread by God's grace. Let's not deviate please.

The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit on All Flesh.

In the Old Testament, the Spirit of God was exclusive to a select few- Prophets, Priests, Kings among the Jews.
But In th New Testament, the prophecy of Joel 2:28 was fulfilled after Jesus Christ died and resurrected, having prayed the Father to send us a Helper/Comforter.

Acts 2:16-18
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.

Atonement For Sin by the Blood Of Jesus.

In the Old testament, atonement for sins was done by the blood of animal sacrifices. This could only temporarily pacify for people's sins. It certainly became a burden and heavy yoke on the people. Imagine having to make animal sacrifices of birds, rams, etc for our sins? Thank God for Christ.

Only the Pure, Sinless Blood of Jesus Christ could atoned for the Sin of Man once and for all. There's now no more use of animal sacrifices. The significance of the Blood of Jesus Christ is beyond explaination.
The Blood of Jesus Christ shed for our sins is the Basis of the New Covenant.
When God sees the Blood of Jesus Christ, He passes over. Just as He passed over the Israelites when He executed judgement in Egypt because of the blood of the lamb (an antitype of Christ the Lamb). Exodus 12:12-15

Romans 3:23-26
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

When did God say he will no longer accept animal sacrifice?.. Or after we sacrifice his son to him he will no longer accept animal sacrifice..

Where did God say, the Messiah will die for sins?... Or you just don't want to accept the fact that Christianity is rebranded paganism....

Read 2nd Chronicles 7 :14....and see if it makes any sense to you, and decide if God lied or not..

It is written;
However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Isaiah 53 is not about Jesus, it is what the Kings of the earth will say when they find out that Israel was innocent of the crime they leveled against them.. The suffering servant is Israel, it was already stated in chapter 41 and 45.

Isaiah 9.6,7 is about king Hezekiah, he was already born when Isaiah wrote that.. The passage is in present tense.. Not future tense.. "a son has been born to us.. Not a son will be... Got it now?

Just like your paymaster, your hatred for the truth is so obvious because falsehood is your nature.
So Hezekiah is the Mighty God in Isaiah 9:6.

Jesus Christ clearly told us that He came not to destroy The Law but to fulfil it. So there's no Difference at all for Christ is The Transmission from the Old to the New.

Really? Please be patient.
This thread is still inconclusive. We'll get to the difference between the Grace and the Law.
It is a sensitive one and pray that the Spirit of Grace Himself will teach us.
Re: The Differences Between The Old Testament And New Testament by pressplay411(m): 7:44pm On Sep 16, 2019
Perhaps the most intriguing difference between the Old and New Testament is the Way of Righteousness.
This invariably leads to the understanding of Grace and Law.
Before there was ever Law, which came through Moses, certain people walkef righteously before God. Notably Abel, Enoch and of course Abraham and Moses walked in the way that pleased God.
In fact, Abraham showed that He Believed God and it was accounted to Him as Righteousness. Genesis 15:6
So why was the Law given?
What then is Grace and why was it given?
Does Law eliminate Grace? And has Grace eliminated Law?
Re: The Differences Between The Old Testament And New Testament by pressplay411(m): 9:12am On Jan 02, 2023
"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1:17

"But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10-11, Hebrews 10:16-18

"Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them." Ezekiel 36:25-27, Joel 2:28-29

The Law Through Moses;
-Deuteronomy 5:5-21 The 10 Commandments
-Deuteronomy 6:5 The Law through Moses
-Luke 10:25-28 Eternal Life through The Law of Moses as confirmed by Jesus Christ

Grace and Truth Through Jesus Christ
-John 17:3 Eternal Life through Grace and Truth through Jesus Christ
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
-John 3:1-21 Jesus explains this mystery. Being born of Water and of Spirit. There is no condemnation for all who believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.

These Promises and Prophecies were fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost.

"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4

God fulfilled His Promise through the Victory of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
We now have Victory in the name of Christ over sin, death and Satan.
All we have to do is come into the knowledge of God through Jesus Christ.

"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Acts 2:38-40

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,
that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1-4

What then is the conclusion?
You can either remain in the Law, struggling to fulfill the requirements of the Law, by which no flesh can be justified.
Or you can accept the Grace and Truth that is in Christ Jesus, by which we have Liberty as we Walk not according to the flesh but Walk according to the Spirit.
It is important to know that Abraham did not live by the laws of Moses, God imputed Righteousness on him, simply because he believed on God. Genesis 15:6. Romans 4:3

Of a Truth, Walking in the Spirit, Living by Faith upholds the Law. Romans 3:31
As Grace is simply the Law being programmed into our hearts without the sacrificial requirements of the Law.

The Mystery therefore is that God does not condemn us when we commit sin in Christ, because Christ lived on earth and knows our weaknesses and strengths and He makes intercessions for us daily before the Father.
He has also given us the Holy Spirit to Comfort us and Help us grow, shaping us through the Power of His Word and True Ministers into His image and likeness, according to our repentance, willingness and revelation of His love for us and for creation.

The New Covenant is a Covenant of the Spirit.
We do not simply walk by sight or dictates of the law. We can only truly know God's will according to the Holy Spirit and Word of God when we have been born of Water and Spirit.

Truly, Creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God.
"For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now." Romans 8:19-22

the operative word here in Hebrew is Yulad, “was born” from the Hebrew grammatical construct of Binyan Pu’al. The English translations that dubiously say “is born” are therefore incorrect. Being that this refers to someone who “was born” and already living during Isaiah’s time, that is 700 years before Jesus! So in no way, can this verse refer to Jesus. But rather, it refers to King Chizkiyahu (Hezekiah), a contemporary of Isaiah’s.

How did the Christian arrive at jesus after reading the Jewish scriptures??

That is my question...

Anybody that can provide authentic sources outside of Christian propaganda will win a life time supply of the last thing they bought..

God cannot send his son to earth and nobody noticed..it is impossible....I want an eye witness account..somebody that actually saw him

Or when God said he had a son that he was sending as a ransom...and sacrifice for sin in the old testament...
