The Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (IBAKM) is a global professional body for the training, examination and certification of Business Administration and Knowledge Management professionals.

IBAKM is established under the Nigerian Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 as a company limited by guarantee with the approval of the Federal Ministry of Education and the consent of the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation to champion, promote, advance and regulate the art and science of Business Administration and Knowledge Management profession and disciplines in all its aspects and ramifications.

The establishment of the Institute have carved out a niche for the career development and growth of the profession and thereby requires all persons and organizations engaged in the activity of or uses the knowledge and practice of Business Administration and Knowledge Management or desirous of globally recognized professional certifications in the broad field of Business Administration, Knowledge Management and related subjects, courses and disciplines to register with the Institute for the achievement of their career goals.

The Institute offers membership qualifications leading to Certified Business Administrator (CBA) and Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) in the categories of Affiliate (AfMBA), Licentiate (LMBA), Associate (ACBA, ACKM), Full Member (MCBA, MCKM) and Professional Fellow (FCBA, FCKM). Candidates can as well be admitted through the Direct Membership Route; Affiliate (AfIBAKM), Licentiate (LIBAKM), Associate (AIBAKM) and Full Member (MIBAKM) or Honorary Membership Route; Fellow (FIBAKM) and Companion (CIBAKM).
