GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly youths from Delta State, that the Ministry of Youth Development is organising a training programme on the production of the Delta Fabric (Akwa-Ocha, Akwa-Oma).

The training is aimed at raising the next generation of youths who will sustain creativity in the production of Akwa Ocha/Akwa-Oma to expand opportunities in the textile industry.

Interested youths who want to learn the act of production of the Delta State fabric are requested to collect their registration form from the Office of Director, Department of Youth Enterprise and Investment Promotions, Ministry of Youth Development, Olorogun Felix Ibru Secretariat, Okpanam Road, Asaba between Monday December 23, 2019 to Friday January 3, 2020. All completed forms must be accompanied with two copies of the following documents:
i. Primary School Leaving Certificate
ii. Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB etc)
iii. Local Government Certificate of Origin
iv. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
v. Letter of Recommendation (with Official Stamp)
vi. Evidence of Apprenticeship or Certificate of training in related skill areas e.g. fashion design (where available)

All completed forms should be submitted to the Office of the Director, Department of Youth Enterprise and Investment Promotions on or before Tuesday January 7, 2020. Only shortlisted candidates would be invited for oral interview. Collection of registration form is free.
