This is SET Theorem And once you draw the diagram the whole problem becomes easy to solve |
Re: . by Slynation(m): 11:49am On Dec 28, 2019 |
This is quite easy.... Draw a Venn diagram and locate the intersects then perform some addictions and substractions.... |
Re: . by imiski(m): 11:52am On Dec 28, 2019 |
First draw a venn diagram. Use the numbers to draw them. |
Re: . by rtdCivilservant: 12:17pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Ladylite:Oga solve that thing and stop telling us how to make it easy to solve. Just say u no fit solve am simple. |
Re: . by Kylekent59: 12:28pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Yes, the question is incorrect. Set cannot be in a whole number or decimal.
|
Re: . by Mrshape: 12:41pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59:Exactly my point. All this textbook make our students to think we don't know what we are doing, Just imagine you telling a student that the textbook is wrong If you not strong to fight no go teach maths o. |
Re: . by Ladylite: 12:42pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
rtdCivilservant: My dear. Am not your student. I solved it. If you can't attach a reward then fvuk off |
Re: . by Mrshape: 12:59pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Some people are getting n=8. Which will make the answer correct, but how they fit 8 they can't explain. Until you can explain our you get a value don't always believe the textbook, Na person like you and me write am |
Re: . by Mrshape: 1:03pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59:Your Venn diagram is not correct Please check again |
Re: . by Mrshape: 1:05pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Martinez39 Check this Maybe I am missing something |
Re: . by Kylekent59: 1:06pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Mrshape: If it is not correct, then the text book is right. Why disturbing people this afternoon?? gonna get back to work. I ganna attend to people requesting for ATM. ( Master card unit) |

Mrshape: Ladylite: rtdCivilservant: Slynation: imiski: Mrshape: He has deleted the post and converted it to full stop. Mrshape is insane. |
Re: . by Mrshape: 2:45pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59:Lol Now the full stop is no longer there. Lol he has selected the full stop and Turn it to empty space. Anyway why I deleted it I solved it again my self and found out my student made and error in the addition I asked him to do for me. That's why I deleted it not that your solution was correct. |
Re: . by Kylekent59: 2:57pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Mrshape: Deleted what ![]() My solution is correct, but the question is wrong. |
Re: . by Mrshape: 3:00pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59:Check you work now Does 10,19...are suppose to be 10-n,19-n,.... Check again please. The question is correct. As I said earlier we made an error in computation, that was why I taught it was incorrect. |
Re: . by Kylekent59: 3:03pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
110 members of a sports club play at least one of the games, football, basketball and volleyball. If 20 play football and basketball only,15 play football and volleyball only, 26 play basketball and volleyball only,x play all the three games, 2x each play only one game, how many play basketball altogether? Solve it and follow my pattern. The ans remains 2x + 2x + 2x + x + 20+15+26 = 110 7x = 49 x = 7 so the basketball circle = 2x+x+20+26 = 3x + 46 = 67 So, how is my ven diagram incorrect? Mrshape you are just shapeless Let me calm down and resolve it using another pattern. |
Re: . by Kylekent59: 3:19pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Mr shape, this is how I got my answer with the proof. I just closed work and I have time to look into it. So hope you are satisfied Mrshape. The textbook is correct
|
Re: . by Mrshape: 3:22pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59: Learn to be humble and learn dear nonome know it all, everyone is pronee to mistakes You problem is that you can not different between Volleyball and football And Vollyball and football only Your prototype your are using to solve is different from the question Here is the solution and the question First will need to find the value of n, n+(10-n)+(29-n)+(19-n)+2n+2n+2n=90 7n-3n+58=90 4n/4=32/4 hence, n= 8 then,2n represents in each one those who played only one game. For football only is 2( ![]() Altogether =2+11+8+16, =37. If you don't understand you can ask questions o.

Re: . by Kylekent59: 3:24pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Mrshape: Oga keep quiet, I left it for you to finish. I was only showing how the "8" was gotten which is the "n" I didn't solve for the football. |
Re: . by Mrshape: 3:24pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59:That your solution is still not accurate sir |
Re: . by Mrshape: 3:26pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Kylekent59:I will try as much as possible not to insult you. I repeat again you got that your 8 by hocus pacus. It is not accurate. |

Re: . by Kylekent59: 4:05pm On Dec 28, 2019 |
Mrshape: Use that your same technique to know if the total number would be 90 Get me your answer for Tennis, volleyball. Then add everything together to know if it would give 90. |
Re: . by Kylekent59: 11:58am On Dec 29, 2019 |
Mrshape: Yes it is true, no one knows it all. I got 90 when I added everything. 16+16+16+21+11+2+8 = 90. The writer of the textbook is correct. Why did you change the toppic immediately you realised he's right?? |
