Look!
After how I saw this Alhaja get robbed of her phone this night. A phone that she told me she bought for a hundred and thirty thousand Naira last week by some thief on an "Okada".

I am all in support of the Ban on "Okadas".

It should be permanent.

Myself, Last year. I was disposed of about Seven phones. The Kele Napeps can be left but seriously. Motorcycles popularly called "Okadas" needs to go.

Lagos also has to improve on Infrastructure and Transportation with Modern Trains moving everywhere in Lagos. These Bus Transits that they usually provide do not offer any permanent solution to the Transport problem Lagos experiences as a result of the population.

Infrastructure projects should be completed. Several Uncompleted Projects everywhere.

U r talking rubbish. Are people supposed to cross expressways? If I am driving and I see any human being crossing d expressways when there r bridges, I drive to kill the mad person because only mad people cross expressways.
Killing people who cross expressways is legal.

I bu akpa amu nsi

I haven't "talked" anything how much more "talking rubbish". I only asked questions. There's a difference between talking and asking questions. So pls, keep ur emotions in check and answer d questions as all u have said have absolutely no bearing on d questions I asked or on d topic of discussion.

"The advanced countries u say don't have okada, pls what type of transportation system do they have? How does okada aid robberies? Is it only okada that scratch peoples cars? If 7 people were killed by okada in d last 2years in abuja, were none killed by cars? How many die on d expressways everyday? Was okada responsible for that?"

U still haven't said what God has done for Lagosians with d ban on okada

They have metro/light rails and buses plus ferries and taxis for when you have to carry things etc. They also ride bicycles.
Their leaders use the mass transit along with everyone else just as many VIPs have been using the Abuja-Kaduna railway built by Jonathan in five years.

Don't mind these ones that are forming wokeness and trying to put people's live in danger. Area boys that normally harass water companies on marathon days na protest den nor go hijack?

Letter to the police is just letting them know who to arrest on that day and not necessarily to provide security support on that day.

They will be grappling with watching over the runners and dignitaries not protesters.

OgbanjeProphet:
Peaceful protest in Lagos state Please do not be deceived. There can never be any peaceful protest, because agboro and other criminal minded elements will always use that opportunity to cause mayhem.

Tomorrow you all will see what's going to happen.

So my advice for those who crave long life is to avoid that protest tomorrow.

The ban on Okada in Lagos is for the good of Lagosians.

They didn't protest against the flawed election in Lagos, poor roads and state of corruption in Lagos state. Motorcycles are not designed for commercial transport. Fixed the road and provide loans to taxi drivers.

Nice, is it so easy for people to solve the transport problem for themselves? How about the coordination of movements, people don't move, go to the workplace or market at the same time?

their rally won't change the governor's mind. nothing would change.

he won't heed to their lamentation.

he would only address them, and that's all.

Protests are an integral part of any democratic& even undemocratic society. An avenue 4d governed to express their disagreements with govt actions, to demand accountability & change. Its this mentality of "nothing would change" or "he won't heed their lamentation" among nigerians, that has held this nation back for so long. because d citizens have failed to play their roles by protesting because their mentality, those in govt have continued to churn out more& more anti-people policies. If a 100,000 protest consistently on an issue in Lagos, if there's unity of purpose among d people, why won't d governor change his mind?

This one na big man protest, e never touch your soul yet..a protest that you have to write to police for provision of security, gather at an elite spot Eko hotel, have time to buy shoes, Handkerchief ,water and power bank, it's not a protest ,this is just for social media.

Real protest begins from the soul, it erupts when we can't have any of it. This is trash, look at the Arab spring and all..

Make them go siddon abeg, the people going for this protest have enough food on their table already

oganla, nobody is against protest.
make dem go and come back.
Lagos State government banned Commercial Bikes and Keke Napeps on some roads and highways, not in the whole of Lagos State.
They should make use of the available ones where are not restricted to them.

and this has obviously been causing more traffic, disorganization, accidents and crimes, and people have been complaining. so, the government felt it was high time all this stopped in the state.

nobody can protest againt the act of government on reducing accidents and crime activities in the state and win.

in addition:

we also noticed that more and more Northerners are invading the state under the guise of using bikes for commercial purposes.
it is just unfortunate that Opay, Goride, Gokada and the likes are victims of this rule. those are only people I feel for.
if government would release those organized biker companies, it is good. if he refuses, are we going to die?

I hail u, bro.

I hail u too bro.

U say "nobody is against protest" but referring to d protesters, u said "make dem go and come back". That is d biggest contradiction of d century. Furthermore, this ur comment that "nobody can protest againt the act of government on reducing accidents and crime activities in the state and win", clearly shows that u didn't understand what I said and u don't understand d rights of d citizens. U wrongly feel that d govt is doing d people a favour so therefore they should shut up. D govt isn't doing d people a favour. That's not d terms of d social contract between d government & d governed.

Let's even look at some of d claims u made. Pls how have okada/keke "been causing more traffic, disorganization, accidents and crimes?" Who& who are d "people have been complaining?" How many are these people?

According to u "we also noticed that more and more Northerners are invading the state under the guise of using bikes for commercial purposes".

There's really no consistent info. U are saying its northerners. Other advocates of d okada ban are saying it is Chadians, nigeriens and Malians. It just shows that there's no truth in these claims.

Even if ur claim about northerners is true, what law was broken by northerners by coming to ride okada in Lagos? Which part of d constitution prevents them from riding okada in Lagos?

I have a word-for-word replies to all these you have brought up but honestly, I don't always have strength for extensive arguments online.

this is not about giving up. we can continue arguing on and on, but the strength for it is what I don't have (what a weak fellow I am).

You can write to the head of information at igbobi or you can check the lagos state website. Regarding what God has done for Lagos no doubt one day, you will get the opportunity to ask him. I am simply answering your question regarding the ban on okada and okeke napep.
