This is largely funny.

This is one of the many verses in the bible that have been terribly interpreted, misconstrued and misapplied.

This to me I believe was obtainable owing to the tradition at that time... This culture is no more obtainable in the 21st century...

Most times, it is orthodox churches that keep to this dead card of the place highlighted... With kiosk churches that are still struggling for membership...

I wonder why we are in a 21st century yet we think women cannot speak in churches over men.. But when it comes to prayers, y'all want a woman to be on her knees interceding for her man

When it comes to cooking, y'all abjudicate such role to the woman. When it comes to ministering in songs, y'all don't have any qualms to assign the tasks to a woman.

But when it comes to speaking/preaching in the church, y'all hold up that card written in bold inscriptions

If women are not allowed to express their minds except they first consult their husbands, it simply means they are slaves to the society.. According to the Bible verse

No woman that has read the bible can be a true Christian.
It is just impossible because the bible is a sexist book pure and simple.
Most women who claim to be Christian have never read the book but rather rely on what the pastor cherry picks and reads to them every sunday.
I repeat NO WOMAN that has read the bible can be a christian because the rules are stacked against her. The rules favour the men!

When you read/study the Bible outside the influence and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, you'll definitely fail to understand the mind of the human writer. Many Bible text are often taken and interpreted out of context.
Paul was addressing an issue in a congregation - where women were increasingly becoming hostile and unruly as against God's principles of honouring men. Paul was not making a rule or law, he was reiterating a principle God has laid down in creation of man and woman - that a woman must honour a man regardless her position in the society and part of that honour must be to NOT assume leadership position in a congregation that includes men. The Bible does not command a woman to not speak in a congregation but to not command or be leaders over men.
