Also, Another Official confirmed as well that NIS is in dire and almost Urgent need of Young Officers coz there is Excess Workload already on those in Service.. He sighted the Case of Mass Retirement by Senior Officers Last Year and This Year as a Contributing factor.. So I guess that's a pointer to the Fact that They are more Likely to be 90% Open and Transparent about the whole Recruitment/Selection Process

I honestly don't know how long it will take you to get to Ondo state from Ibadan.

But my advice for you is this: Be in your venue before 7:00am

Officers and men of the Immigration Service, I'd say the exam was smooth. I believe something good will come out if the board decides to be fair.

Let's remember that this is a competition and a battle to get into NIS. Your village man remains your biggest competitor till you get to camp.

Village man - Person from same state with you.

Exactly.. The exam was free and fair in my center, nothing like combine work.it was all man to yourself and many people didn't turn out even the officials were complaining about how one will apply for a job and won't come for exam he was invited for..their were a lot of vacant seats.. If they will be sincere and select from the few that wrote well and now add with their candidates no wahala...

Bro you said your village man remains your biggest competitor, I ask tho this people observe federal character principle??
Like will they judge from how many you guys are from your local govt.. It's Nigeria police i know how they roll wella

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is conducting recruitment examinations for about 191,000 candidates who applied for jobs in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Speaking with Journalists during the exercise for candidates into the NIS on Monday in Abuja, the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, Yakmut Alhassan Saleh, said the computer-based exam was taking place at the same time in 126 centres across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He said: “All over the country, we have almost 190,000 candidates out of which 113,000 are Civil Defence, and for Immigration.

“We have 78,000 candidates across 126 centres in Nigeria.

“The examination is broken into three phases; we have the one for graduates and HND, NCE and OND and the third one for secondary school (leavers).”

The examination, according to him, was being conducted by JAMB to ensure transparency and avoid rancour and confusion that trailed a similar exercise a few years ago.

Yakmut said: “We need to go through a transparent method of a recruitment exercise and it has to start from the word go.

“This is just one component of the exercise, after this, we go into physical and medical as well as psychometric exercise.”

He said the Interior ministry was into partnership with JAMB to ensure that every candidate is given a fair opportunity to prove that he has the merit and requirement that we need.

On the number of vacancies that are expected to be filled by the applicants, the Board’s secretary said 9,460 jobs are up for grabs by successful candidates, adding that the results from the JAMB recruitment exam would be released immediately after the exercise.

“Immediately we get the results, we will shortlist for physical and medical checkups before 15 December (2020) IPP and capturing will commence, and they will now go for six months training for specialisation.”

“In both organisations, we are recruiting 9,460. 5,000 for civil defence and 4,460 for immigration,” Yakmut said.
Congrats to those that wrote this exam. But please don't put ur mind too much into this. Remember that NIS only need 4500 out of 75000 that were invired for d exams. Without sure connection ur chances of getting this job is extremely low. I remembered my NNPC experience, after writing exam, I got lucky to be invited for interview and I was like maybe God is indeed marvelous and he will rly help a poor struggling guy, I was wrong, after waiting more than 8 months with intense fasting and prayer, I wasn't picked, I had d knife in my hand and I was a sec from suicide. So please don't put too much mind to it, in fact cancel ur mind from it and go about ur normal duty. At the end if u get the job consider urself extremely lucky and remember, nothing is fair about this recruitment, u will never see ur test score and names and application numbers will be massively swapped for those with sure connect. This naija, even if dey say it will be fair don't deceive urself into believing it is fair. Good luck

One of the greatest scam is hiding the comprehensive list so as to know the differences in the 1st,2nd and 3rd list... If really this will be free and fair even the low turn out is supposed to help us

You spoke well.... But the process is looking fair so far (from an insiders perspective). The odd is very high, especially for BSc holders... Many BSc applicants did not show up... The recruitment is per LGA so the odd is very high.

I agree to the bolded...if the list of shortlisted candidates will br released before 15, then there will be little or no room for manipulations. Besides i dont want to belive that Jamb can be compromised.

(1) According to this info (For Immigration), then we are having an Average of 120 Candidates per state (FCT inclusive) that will make it to Training... Upon further Assumption, then there shouldn't be Nothing less than 20 B.Sc holders that will Make it to Training Per State... That still sounds very Interesting actually

(2) If the Next stage of the Screening is to Start on the 15th, then Max by Saturday this Week, The Shortlist should be Out grin grin grin....

Making Sense

Thats how I did NNPC exam, all the way to the interview in abuja.. They were even congratulating me. Those examiners... Lol.
8 months later, nothing....

I will suggest you go on with your life and don't wait for this.
I hope you get invited, if you aren't, it will be easy to move on.

Hope for the best, expect the worst.
