Even if the white man ditches the idea of tribalism, the forever backward black man with still be racist toward his black brothers.
Nigeria is a very good example of this.

There's so much I would love to express but can't find the right words .
I think one of the reasons the ethnic squabbles exist in Nigeria and Africa is due to a faulty system of lumping them all as one artificial unitary country.
It's just like colonizing and forcefully merging swedes,Lithuanian,Irish ,Scottish and polish in one unitary country ; obviously there'll be ethnic squabbles for scarce resources.

No one is preventing them from creating an equal and fair society. The unitary system wasn't created by the West. The pogroms in the North weren't carried out by the West, neither did the West make Nigerians carry out genocide againt their fellow Africans.

The West didn't make Nigerians rig their elections nor are they responsible for the ridiculous level of corruption. Is it the Wests fault that the Nigerian government spends more on the salaries of its politicans than its healthcare?

Is the West responsible for the affirmative action policies in Nigeria, which discourage hard work and instead promote entitled thinking? Is the West responsible for the level of hate displayed on this website? Is the West responsible for the fascism in Nigeria?

Is the West responsible for Buharis vindicative leadership style. Purposely marginalising people within his own country?

Firstly,no one or groups of people in position of power desire to change the status quo.
There would be ethnic squabbles If Swedes,Lithuanians ,Ukrainians,Scottish, Irish,Polish are merged as one country by Zulu or Ashanti. Ukrainians have the largest population of about 45 million and would dominate the politics , then Poland with population of 35 million would agitate for republic of Poland and would include Lithuania(3 million ) and Scotland (5 million) on their secession map.
There's corruption everywhere but Massive Corruption exist in Nigeria as well as other third world shitholes due to faulty systems ,and one of those faulty system is the fact they were colonized and forcefully merged as one country.
Although each African regions as federations and ethnic nations as states or provinces is Ideal , i think that arrangement should be on their terms,instead of forcefully merged by colonial powers .

The main point of this thread is to understand why humans are drawn to ethnic affiliation . For example ,a white American may favor a white Australian than a black American ; a black American may favor a black African than an indian American, a chinese American may favor a Korean than a Latin American.etc.


This forum as example
people brag about about their ethnicity ,yet the things they are mostly bragging about are universal culture and not their traditional cultures. For example, an Hausa may brag that Hausa land has the best houses or best roads or more educated , yet those houses are modern homes that all humans aspire ;those homes are not Hausa Culture.

If that were the case then there wouldn't be succession groups in every quarter of the country. The colonial powers are not to blame for anything. Nigeria's decision to remain intact was made by Nigerians not Great Britain. Nigeria's genocide war against the Eastern region was a choice made by Nigerians. Great Britain didn't force anybodies hand nor did they fire any guns.

Nigeria remains a single entity today because of Nigerians, and the lack of political will to treat everyone fairly within the country is the fault of Nigerians.

All those big empires in Europe are now gone. Maybe Nigerians should take a leaf out of their experiences and prepare for the end. Nigeria will end, that's not in doubt.

And as far as ethnic affiliation is concerned. USA is a racist country, that's why a white American would choose a foreigner over a black American. In Europe, for the most part that isn't the case. Cultural familiarity is what binds people not race. Racists cling to people solely because of their outer appearance. But as we can see from former Yugoslavia and current Nigeria. Racial affiliation means nothing.
