Below is a federal road in Ekiti State, Ikere Ekiti to be precise. It is one of the major roads that link Ekiti to Ondo state, Ijare. The bridge at the middle of the road collapsed longtime ago, After much outcry from the community, the Honourable representing the constituency in the Ekiti State house of Assembly made the plank bridge popularly called Afara on a federal road,. This bridge is at the middle of the road and many institutions and residential areas are there as well as farm settlements. People of the town and the community have been finding it difficult to commute, it's not even possible to move to the other town in Ondo state, Ijare again. The road has been abandoned for a very longtime. Other roads in the town begging for rehabilitation are: Ikere-Ilawe Road, Ikere-Igbara Odo Road, Etc. Ikere is the second largest town in Ekiti after the state capital. 1 Like
