The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is the pioneer Online institution in Nigeria.

Conventional universities had, before now, been taunting them as a less effective University in Nigeria.

The Law Graduates who passed through the NOUN have been denied access to the nation's Law School for the single reason that they do part of their learning on distance basis and do not regularly meet with their lecturers/facilitators.

This has been viewed as purely Academic Politics by which means the graduates of Law from NOUN have been systematically prevented from accessing the Law School, so in effect, they cannot be Barristers and Solicitors even though they have graduated with the knowledge of LAW.

Covid-19 has made it attractive and almost preferred to embrace distance learning and online education at lower and higher levels of education.

We stands the chance to see how and when the conventional universities will approach and borrow the modalities from NOUN.

We shall also see if the graduates of Law from NOUN can be granted access to their country's Law School or another reason will be manufactured and concorted to deter them from the right to practice their hard earned knowledge of Law by the power that be.

There is time for everything.

It may be time now for paradigm shift in favour of these set of graduates who have been denied their rights for this long

The Nigerian law school would never allow anyone from the open university to be admitted into the law school. This has been their position and i dont see them reverting anytime soon
