I don't know why efcc don't investigate fully before parading people as suspects

Nigerians don’t ask the right questions .. the right questions should be, what proof was used to justify and arrest these men as yahoo boys? Cos all I heard that was recovered from them were their cars , phones and laptops .. did they really catch and arrest these guys with any evidence or is this just a media arrest and conviction

The phones & laptops will expose their fraudulent internet activities & their joblessness will implicate them in relation to the acquired properties like cars & etc

EFCC: three exotic cars: Lexus ES 350, Benz C300 and a Toyota Camry

Me: Is laik dis pipu are local sha... Where iz the ezotic car?

For them it is exotic seeing such. In mind of those idiots, for you to drive that car is luxury. All I see here is all zonal office trying to cash in. From Ibadan,to lagos to enugu, maybe benin or ilorin will be next.

A country where they arrest before investigating. A useless country where having a laptop means your a fraudster. Then they force you to open phone, read every message on your phone without a court order.
Even when they take you to court, they would not declare those items too. Only few declare. Just look at mompha wristwatch.

What efcc is doing now is just playing media gallery and it works. People will forget all their oga that reloot the recovered money. Nigerians fall easily.

This reportage is extremely stupid and very dangerous for the future of this country.

His excellency the VP was just talking about using technology to solve problems and challenging Nigerians to come up with solutions. How is that possible when our security agents tag laptops and other digital gadgets criminal tools. All they have done is to criminalize these digital tools.

In today's Nigeria, can you comfortably sit down under the mango tree and work with a laptop without the people around thinking you are a Yahoo or whatever you call it. But what I read in Seun's biography was that he created Nairaland while playing with his laptop under the mango tree in his Ota home.

My question to the VP is this: Can smart enterprising young Nigerians still work freely with their laptops in their rooms, garages, or under the mango tree because those places are where the technology you are looking is created Sir!

Check them: Bill gate started in his garage; Mark Zuckerberg started in his room; our very own Seun started under a mango tree.

#Make Nigeria safe for the smart productive one! The criminalization of digital gadgets should stop. All these media sensationalism is not going to do anyone any good.

A point to note: Most smart tech guys are introverts, and many are planning to leave this country because they can't stand being tagged fraudsters and have their image decimated on the media for doing what they love!

EFCC and whatever they call themselves should do their job discreetly: Mount surveillance, investigate, and charge culprits to court. All these media sensationalism won't anyone any good!

I rest my case.

What do you define as joblessness? You're in the 21st century; a lot of jobs can now be done from home. The Covid-19 issue has made a lot of work-from-home jobs more popular.

They were arrested at Loma Linda Extension Enugu, Enugu State. Their arrest followed intelligence signalling them as a syndicate of fraudsters that specialise in defrauding unsuspecting members of the public, especially foreigners through the internet.

Items recovered from the suspected fraudsters include : three exotic cars: Lexus ES 350, Benz C300 and a Toyota Camry. Other incriminating materials recovered from them are several mobile phones and laptops.

The suspects have given useful information in the course of interrogation and will be charged to court soon.

You missed the point: Working from home with a laptop does not connote joblessness or cybercrime as most of you think! Tagging laptops and smart phones criminal tools is the highest level of ignorance.

lol funny country with mediocre institutions.. how can laptops and phones be tagged and bagged as incriminating? Perhaps their fraudulent brain forgot the word exhibit.. smh it’s not a criminal offence to own the aforementioned.. it only becomes items of interest if we have to investigate further or seek further clarifications either to exonerate or prove culpability..

I’m too forensically inclined to argue or discuss a securing lives and properties..

interesting observation.
your analysis further vindicates my stance not bothering to read the whole story about how and why they were apprehended in the first place.

permission to borrow this from you pls.

Life is not only about cars, shoes, clothes, showoff and all other worthless things. All this things always have upgraded/updated versions renewed frequently, You can't be living your life for this stuffs, it's a waste of Life(Time).

More than 50% of Nigerian youths are already into illegal business, but sadly, most spend it all on worthless things and get themselves trapped in Greed (same with the politicians).

The moment a man start realizing that death is sure , Focus changes on assisting/helping people around you. You can't be happy without making others happy. Nigeria is becoming a serious poverty zone because of GREED. Kids are even infected already.

Conclusion : Please don't follow the crowd. You have a purpose in life, there is a reason why you are a Nigerian and living in Nigeria at the moment. You are still alive because you have a purpose, anyone can die anytime, don't think you are lucky or wise.

"You can't change the world, but you can change the world for one person by helping them, our country is bleeding. There are several ways to help, not only money, You can help with your time, attention, assistance and many more. Please.

Shalom.

related to the cars you are right, checkers will look into account transactions but that laptop ad phone i doubt it because it is like owning a wristwatch, everyone has one.

Talking about joblessness that's a very lame talk in 2020, i have giving staadpro and Autocad tutorials online restricted knly where i was paid 6figures so working from home is not for the lazy in this generation.
