Ondo State Release Resumption Date For Primary, Secondary And Universities by Nobody: 5:37am On Sep 09, 2020
I. Primary Schools:
The state is actively monitoring preparations regarding provision of adequate logistics for COVID-19 prevention for all primary schools, and announcement regarding the date of resumption will be made at an appropriate date.

II. Junior Secondary School (JSS)
JSS 3 students will resume according to the following schedule while the date for resumption of other classes shall be announced at an appropriate future date:
a. September 7-13:
• Preparation by schools to receive students with provisions that meet with the public health guidelines against COVID-19;
• Monitoring of schools’ preparations by relevant government agencies and teams.
b. September 14-18: Revision for students in schools.
c. September 19 – October 4: Examinations.
III. State-owned and private Higher Institutions in Ondo State:
The 2nd of November 2020 is proposed as the earliest TENTATIVE date for the official reopening of state-owned and private higher institutions, while federal government-owned institutions should await the directives of the Federal Ministry of Education and its agencies regarding their re-opening. All heads of tertiary education institutions are called upon to further note and adhere to the following points:
1. The proposal of an earliest TENTATIVE date for resumption is PRIMARILY a call to action for the leadership of tertiary institutions to make appropriate and adequate preparation that conforms to the public health guidelines for prevention of COVID-19 issued by the Ondo State government and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
2. Before a School can formally announce its date for resumption, the school must first be certified as safe and compliant with the public health guidelines regarding COVID-19 prevention and receive a WRITTEN APPROVAL from the State government or its agency assigned with such responsibility.
