A typical armed robber will not and never stop me on the road, point a gun at me, collect my phone and walk me down to the ATM to withdraw all my money in the afternoon in the presence of everyone...but SARS can do that without fear...SARS officers are the greatest robbers, remove them completely and see peace return to south...why is SARs not disturbing them in the North i am not understanding ![]() 1 Like |

miketayo:How old are you? If you know what robbery use to be like 10 to 15 years ago, you won't be saying all these. Why are Nigerians calling for restructuring? Why can't we say we don't want any government anymore because the present government has failed us? You mentioned bank robbery that happened in June lol. You surely have no idea of what bank robbery used to be. Neither do you know how notorious places like third mainland bridge used to be once it's evening. Can you swear with your life that SARS did nothing at all during one million boys raid? Or you think it was those community vigilante that stopped one million boys? Yeye. Be very careful of what you ask for coz if SARS is scrapped totally, y'all wouldn't be able to face the repercussions for just a month, especially now that things are very hard. Lastly, where were these celebrities when one million boys were raiding? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() When the trouble starts, These people are gonna hire private security or even get escort from Nigerian police and leave y'all alone. 1 Like |

There is no different between SARS and Armed Robbers the only difference to me is that SARS works for the government arresting someone at gun point and taking the person to an Atm machine to make withdrawal for you is it not armed robbery. |

LibertyRep: I concur with you to an extent. The real problem is not SARS but the system and environment within the Nigeria Police that spawned them. The labelling is just for easier identification of a unit proactively exploiting loopholes in the system. Even if they are abolished, the officers will be absorbed into other units or another new unit created with a different name but to soon adopt the same ideology. There is need for reformation not only within the Police but in the way the law and the system as a whole proactively treat acts of abuse by the Nigeria Police. The Police organization itself should be subject to punitive monetary damages directly deductible from their Federal Funding and such punitive remedies should be backed by law. The reality is that in the Police Act, citizens are treated as the potential monsters without any genuine checks and balances for the actions of the Police. A key example is the new Act being signed to law by the President with serious implications including giving legal backing to some of the actions we are now condemning in SARS. This actions include charging money for bail and searching phones and laptops without genuine cause to do same or search warrant. The said new Act ought to have been seriously resisted by the people and subjected to thorough scrutiny. If we cry about SARS today but keep quiet about a new law that will legalise their excesses then we are just leaving the leprosy and killing the ringworm. 1 Like |

anochuko01: You sound like u were born yesterday, SARS has been in existence since the 90's it's not a new agency, over 20 years ago they existed. Like everything in Nigeria it rots as it gets older. They started recruiting convicts. It seems you haven't met SARS police close up before, we are talking about ex convicts here. For the past 15 or 20 years, robbery has been going on and it's recent decline wasn't because of SARS that has been existing over 20 years ago. When 1 million were disturbing, there were no SARS in my area it was d RRS parading, even on the news it was the RRS patrol cars we saw Not 1 single SARS, the street vigilante did more than the police. Name one area where u heard of SARS stopping one million boys. SARS are meant for special armed robbery, they come in regular cars like seinna and camry. It's obvious u can't differentiate between sars and other police Until u get extorted or shot at then you will come to your senses. |

sirblend: Cyber crime and fraud should be the job of the EFCC and not SARS.....SARS, like RRS should only be called when there's a robbery. Why is it so hard for some of you people to understand this? The average Nigerians SARS go around harassing, extorting and killing are not robbers or even armed sef. If you don't see any reason why this should stop.... Then you're part of the problem. 1 Like |

miketayo: its you who just sounded like you dont know much. you just sounded like sars has never been of any good or help. you just sounded like there was never a need for sars and the nigerian police didnt know what they were doing when they established sars. i repeat, if you were old enough to remember when armed robbery was still armed robbery, you wont be calling for the outright cancellation of sars. the problem with sars is the same problem with everyother institution in nigeria. give an average nigerian a gun and he might become worse than a sars official. take away a gun from a sars official and he becomes an average greedy and quick-money seeking nigerian. sars needs a reformation a nd not an outright disbandment 1 Like |

Good morning, pls do not deceived Nigerians for this, no criminals can succeed with out the support of securities personnel, securities in Nigeria don't has records or monitors the dismiss officers, even the active officers give information's to criminals so that their road block will still continue, this started from oga on top and the boys will get their own on the roads.so when there is kidnapping or robbery operations no need to look for prophet TB JOSUA, just hold the nearest securities station or post responsible. among the securities in Nigeria Police is the worse of all, if federal Government wanted to stop insecurities in this country just has data bases of of all security personnel in Nigeria and their movement also communications. |

All arm forces operate according to the body languages of the Government on ground, i have witness where police officers will pull off uniform and enter forest come back to robbed on the road and later wear uniform chasing innocent motorist. |

Is he now implying that its only SARS that can handle the issue of armed robbers in the country. If so the thousands of other policemen are redundant and not needed since its SARS that must do everything.ENDSARS is what we want,if possible, create a SWAT team that responds only to distress calls........see me sef,I forget say na we go still buy fuel for their motor... Haykayboss1: What do you mean by ordinary policemen..I am not in support of ending SARS mumu, we need a more tactical reform of the entire police force. SARS should be reformed. But elder state men like okiro should at least condemn the abuse of power by this illiterate police gangster before spewing shit like this. |
