The reason why Burna boy is not seeing it that way is because he doesn't understand the language of art.if I say in Yoruba "werey Ni e" and you don't understand Yoruba language,you will brush it off and not read any meaning to it BECAUSE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE

but if you do,you will definitely take offence.thats the whole point.

I wonder why Burna boy doesn't find this offensive.its absolutely disrespectful and he seems not to realise art is a story in itself.it tells an unspoken story.those who read and see through art works will understand what I'm saying

The gorilla represents many things and in the posture and expression the artist depicts him, it showed power, an assiduity of the subjects character.

Artistic license allows artists to associate themselves to various kinds of animals to prove their prowess in the industry.
Musicians commonly refer to themselves as gorillas,lions,killers,devils murderers and even god. It is part of artistic license. I bet if the art work had depicted Burna boy as a lion, you probably would not find it offensive .
A few years ago when 50 Cent was on top of the rap game he had a group and clothes line called G unit. I am sure a lot of people wearing G unit attire back in the day never knew that G unit stood for Gorilla unit! Lol!

Gorrilla is part of the Burna boy personae,that is why he cannot be offended by the art work depicting him as a gorilla because it depicts POWER and STRENGTH in the industry!
