Violence broke out in Uyo, the Capital city of Akwa Ibom state when a little fracas broke out at Nassarawa the abattoir, housing the Hausa community in the state, and the violence did spread to Ibom Plaza the very heart of the state as shots were being fired everywhere, with people running helter skelter and shops looted with reckless abandon. Everywhere is tensed at the moment in the state, more details to come as it unfolds MODIFIED. Tendion reportedly broke out ovet #100 naira issue, an aboki guy, was driven to nasarawa, an area where the hausa people stay, and tension broke between the driver and him as he insisted on paying #50 naira while the driver wanted #100. The issue broke into a fight, and before one could ask "ado dier (what is it) there was violent everywhere. And with one Indigene death, there violence went on overdrive, and it moved from there to to Itam market and then to Plaza, ... Armed robbers where moving in groups, robbing people, shops, everything they came acros on their path, there was choas everywhere. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Why are you guys(Southerners) always attacking the very few northerners in your region at the slightest provocation/opportunity? And you guys will still be the ones playing the victim card. I don't just understand. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

phantom24:Why won't they try to protect themselves in your region when you guys are always attacking northerners over there. Or you think the bias media that doesn't report these countless unprovoked attack from you guys mean we don't know what's going on over there? OK just two months ago, many northerners were gruesomely killed in port Harcourt by Igbos and nobody wanted to talk about that. You killed innocent Muslims and burned down their places of worship and yet you guys were they ones screaming blue-murder. 1 Like 1 Share |

Southerners stand together against the terrorists from the sahel. You can never avoid the war they want to bring down South. Obadiah Mailafiya had already sounded the warning. You all must team up and fight it together. It will be game over within a short time. 1 Like |

The violence here in Uyo is cult related and some hoodlums are using the opportunity to loot shops and attacking innocent citizens since there are no policemen on the roads. 1 Like |

Apawicked: The information is correct. There was chaos in Uyo due to the conflict between the Fulani/Hausa community and some Akwa Ibomites. It escalated after an Akwa Ibom indigene was killed. |
