The Federal Government of Nigeria has promised to pursue the deployment of renewable energy in the electrification of schools, hospitals, and homes across the country.

The Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy-Agba, during the inauguration of a 60KWP Solar hybrid mini-grid power plant at Obudu Cattle Ranch, Cross River State stated that the Federal Government is fine-tuning its strategies in the diversification of the energy sector.

He remarked that the capital appropriation for the projects is being properly utilised by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in order to provide clean, safe, and reliable energy to underserved and unserved communities in the country.
