Swamp and Land Area Landlords Threaten to shut down Agip Operations over continuous marginalization.

Swamp and Land Areas Landlords of Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) has given notice that it will shut down the operations of the oil multinational in the swamp and land areas over what the group termed "ethnic cleansing" against people of the area by the oil company.

The group in a statement made available to the media lamented the persistent and continuous marginalization of people from the swamp and land areas of the companies operations in the managerial cadre of the company.

The group in a statement signed by Onisoya James Odum, Chairman, and Temple Sambo, Secretary, drew the attention of the State governors of the NAOC operation areas to the marginalization of its people and equally put the security agencies on notice over the untoward happenings in the company against them.

The group had threatened to declare a force major on the companies operations should the devilish cabal within the company don't rescind its decision by reinstating and recalling the affected staffs

It will be recalled that sometime in December 2020, the group raised an alarm over the "ethnic cleansing" of people from the major oil-producing areas known as "LANDLORDS" by the management of NAOC in a world press conference.

On the 19th of January 2021, the group staged a peaceful protest to the NAOC operations head office in Port Harcourt after series of letters and press conferences.
In the course of the protest, the group noted that some of the positions within the NAOC management system have been out of limits to people from their area.

According to the group, "the best brains from the Niger Delta were been removed and replaced by staff from the Igbo speaking areas of the country.

The group further disclosed that "a few hours ago our claims was vindicated as the manager of the SMD stakeholders department and community development division who handles community relations affairs and hails from Omoku, in Rivers State was replaced by yet another Igbo man".
"The question therefore is, are there no other persons from the swamp and land areas operation of NAOC who is qualified to fill positions of a divisional manager? Is that position only suitable for Igbos and toxic to our people?"

The group in the statement disclosed, "We hereby put all landlords, of both swamp and land areas operation to be at alert there will be a directive to shut down all NAOC operations within our communities until all issues are resolved".

In a related development the Swamp and Land areas Landlords letter to The Managing Director, Nigerian Agip Oil Company Ltd, in 2020 titled, "NAKED TRUTH UNRAVELLED: NAOC MANAGEMENT IN FRAUDULENT ACT AGAINST OUR PEOPLE"

The group In the letter referred to their numerous letters to NAOC on the plight of their people for the past years.

According to the letter released to the media, "Today, the truth has been revealed to us through numerous media publication on why our people have suffered many years of unemployment and cheating/maltreatment
from Agip"

The letter reads:

"It is now evident that the unemployment and appointment of our people in NAOC are based on tribal agenda, as we have seen in recent publications. We have checked the facts and it has been confirmed. The general manager of Human Resources and kinsmen from the Igbo tribe has hijacked all the key offices of the company and has been conducting secret employment, making sure that all the contracts/jobs meant for our people are given to only people from his ethnic group.

We refuse to be the goose that lays the golden eggs that will be hijacked and stolen by a well-orchestrated plan by people of Igbo ethnic colouration. We reject to be rubbished in our land through discriminatory and fraudulent employment and appointment rackets in the company. We now realize why core Niger Deltans in your company were treated with ignominy.

Irrespective of the environmental degradation and huge damage to our ecosystem, as a result of your frequent oil spills, you have kept our destiny floating in the hands of the Ibos who completely denied us employment and contracts as well as denying Niger Deltans the opportunity to head top positions, forgetting that we are the source of the economic mainstay of Italy.

We now have the answers to the fate that befell the following Rivers State-born hardworking and illustrious sons in your company:-

1. Anaemia Darego who was humiliated and his family members suffered various kidnaps as orchestrated by the Igbo cabal in your company, and stagnated in your company.

2. Dr Chris Oboh who was unfairly treated and forced out by the evil fraudulent and ethnic politics of your company

3. Engr. Dienye Norman suffered badly in the hands of the cabal and was kidnapped on his way to the office under the fetish agenda of your company

4. Engr. Gerson Ogbulijah was targeted to be killed by hired assassins on his way to and from work only for him to be replaced by an Igbo man, Chris Eke

5. Emeka Okoromah was unceremoniously pushed out of the system despite his years of commitment

6. Dr Mpi, a first-class sound engineer who left the system due to the same evil antics of the Igbo cabal in the Human resources department of your company.

All these are Rivers State indigenes! Now we have the true story of the Igbo agenda in your company, who are manipulating the whole system and keeping our people frustrated and are advising and treating our communities as irritants in the scheme of things in the company producing oil and gas in our land. It is clear now that deliberate anti-community policies are being implemented in the company and no action is being spared by your management to achieve their aim. The oil you are taking from our land is nothing but BLOOD OIL. We proclaim a curse on all the management staff doing this evil to our land.

While we expect you to conduct a Human Resources audit in your company’s employment (staff and contract) operation in Nigeria, being conducted by the general manager of human resources, Callista Azogu and her clique, we shall at the same time be embarking on the following actions:

1. Organize ten thousand youths protests to Government Houses in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states and then proceed to your operational areas.

2. Demonstration at Agip office in Abuja and Petition to all international human rights groups for your continuous human rights violations, denial of our rights and discriminatory employment policies

We strongly urge you again to investigate these atrocities against our people by your management, as we shall be calling a world press conference to bring our plight to the world and a direct petition to the Italian parliament on the divide and rule system being perpetrated by ENI/NAOC management in Nigeria, reminiscent of the slave trade era. We will not allow it anymore".

The oil companies are on a genocide mission in the Niger Delta. To achieve thus they have embarked on a divide and rule policy if pitching ethnic groups against one another.
