femi4: Very good, your phone is successfully unlocked. I want to believe you are having network problem in that area. Change the network mode to 2G & 3G bro it still cant, even i off the whole phone and i on it again. it still asks for a unlock code.  |

Also, on your bb,go to: Option >>Advance option>> Simcard, then type "MEPD" on your keybord. Get me the status for "Network" and "Service provider" birdy: yeah I had 10 tries left and I used 2 inputting the above unlock code. Network says: Disabled Service Provider says: Active. It worked! Thanks again to everyone who takes the time to contribute to this thread and Femi4 in particular. It really does blow my mind sometimes that people actually help others for no gain to themselves. I'll pass on the good karma in a way I am able. Power of the internet community > Corporate jackasses who take peoples money and give them a locked product! On an unrelated note, since new phones aren't cheap or easy to get working, I will also council my girlfriend on the wisdom of using a phone while on the toilet  |

Admin. Does these help? Instructions for unlocking Blackberry 8900 Curve Ensure a SIM Card is inserted. Go to 'Manage Connections'. Click on 'Turn All Connections Off'. Go to 'Options'. Click on 'Advanced Options'. Click on 'SIM Card'. Type 'MEPD' (letters will not appear on-screen but a menu will pop up). Type 'MEP2' (user will be prompted to enter MEP code). Enter the MEP2 code (CONFIRM you get "Code Accepted" message) If you also have a MEP4 code, type 'MEP4' (you will be prompted to enter MEP code) Enter the MEP4 code (CONFIRM you get "Code Accepted" message). Reboot device. Go to 'Manage Connections'. Click on 'Restore Connections'. Device is now unlocked. |
