Living on campus for many students “isn’t all that fun” and they need a little bit of convincing before they can make up their minds (lucky you! We are here to help with that )

For some students, they’ve stayed on campus for a session or 2 and are losing the appeal or thrill of staying on campus, Whether you’re starting to outgrow the craziness of on-campus living or just in need of more space, there are a lot of great reasons to move off-campus. We’ve made this list to help your decision to stay off-campus.
Get ready, it’s a fun read!

Staying Off-Campus Saves You Money
School hostels are cheaper in many parts of the world, but students don’t take note of certain hidden charges that come with staying on campus, one of which is the cleaning and certain utilities that are freely available to students off-campus, but the real money sucker on-campus hostels aren’t the hidden charges but the rent time frame.
A student staying off-campus will be billed for a whole year (12 Months) while a student staying on campus will be billed per session which is 8 months. So after a session of 2 semesters is over, you need to start hunting for storage places to keep all your stuff — So unfair

More Space That Is Yours
You are no longer stuck in a shared space measured 8–8 feet, some hostels have it bad that the space is shared with more than 2 other occupants, off-campus you are exposed to accommodations that suit your housing needs, large closets, multiple bathrooms, they can be all yours. Beyond the space, students who stay off-campus enjoy the privilege of privacy, students love the privacy and they prefer to keep it that way, staying off-campus makes that possible.
This is also great for those students that need to get out of the hustle and bustle of staying on campus and need a little downtime with themselves to keep their mental health strong, nothing beats the privacy of your own home.

Better Support System — You Get To Decide For You
Staying on campus has its cons and not being in control of who you share your space with has to be a major turn off. Unlike staying off-campus, you get to choose who stays with you, who you believe you’ll live best with, and who can offer you the best off-campus experience for as long as you choose.
Because of this, most people live with friends or like-minded individuals that whom they can trust and get along with. This is great because you’re able to create a strong support system with those around you. Not to mention, what’s more fun than getting to be with your friends around the clock? (Hopefully, they are friends that will encourage you to read and not binge Netflix every other day)

Get to Know Your City
There’s a completely different vibe when you live off-campus, for one you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city you are living in until you graduate, and those 10 minute walks within your neighbourhood can do you so much good especially in connecting with the city dwellers.
As you’ll no longer be completely cooped up on campus, you’re more likely to want to see what’s around you away from school. You’ll get to explore the best grocery stores and supermarkets, what restaurants you enjoy and your favourite place to grab a late-night snack. It’s the best way to learn about everything your city has to offer!
Staying off campus provides a very different experience for students till they graduate from school. I hope this helps your decision on where to live.
