A Russian soldier has pleaded guilty to charges of war crimes after he became the first to go on trial in Ukraine over President Vladimir Putin's invasion.

Sergeant Vadim Shishimarin, 21, answered 'yes' when asked by a judge in Kyiv today whether he was guilty of shooting a 62-year-old man in the head in the village of Chupakhivka during the first week of the war.

No video evidence, nothing. Not even a photo of the man who was killed, but we all somehow agree a Russian soldier killed a man in a drive-by shooting. Even US gangsters will be proud of his skills especially since he shot a man four times in the head, with a rifle (and not a pistol), while "fleeing" in a moving vehicle. What are the odds of scoring a headshot under those conditions, not to talk of four?

Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers caught on camera shooting Russian soldiers are roaming free. That's a war crime for you'll sympathizers seeking justice and not this made-up nonsense.

On the positive side, I'm starting to think Ukraine could win this war if they put 1% of the effort they put into propaganda and engaging in gimmicks into actually fighting Russia. But who cares? Ukraine still controls Mariupol and Crimea on Google Maps
