The Rivers State Government has filed criminal charges against former Governor Chibuike Amaechi, Sahara Energy and Tonye Cole, the co-founder of Sahara Energy who is now the Governorship Candidate of the APC in Rivers State over the alleged N96Bn fraud from the sale of state assets. Meanwhile, Governor Nyesom Wike has directed the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to write a "strong protest letter" to the chairman of EFCC for the Commission to stop the "harassment" of the former Accountant General of Rivers State who is the PDP Guber Candidate in Rivers State, else the state will file for contempt of court orders against the commission are subsisting.
