At the age of 36. he is coming towards the end of his career and, at this stage, a club like Madrid coming onto the scene could be very tempting. This season, his first at Inter after six successful seasons at Roma (116 goals in 260 matches), he gradually lost importance in the starting XI as time went on. However, he still played 3342 minutes in 49 appearances, 38 of them as a starter.

Furthermore, Romelu Lukaku's return to the Giuseppe Meazza is almost a done deal. And the Bosnian striker moved to Inter to cover the absence of the Belgian who is about to return to the Italians on loan.

They sent Jovic to Italy, so I don't think they will try to get the Džeko. He's over his prime and will require a high salary. For that money, they can have a much younger backup. Or even give Diaz another chance.
