PLS I NEED UR ASSISTANCE MY FIRST SUBMISSION FOR VISA APPROVAL WAS DENIED FOR A FAMILY OF3 STUDY VISA DUE TO INSUFFICIENT MONEY . SO I REAPPLY WITH MY SON USING MY HUBBY , MOTHER AND MY JOB AS HOME TIES. DID A FIXED DEPOSIT OF 40M IN MY 1ST SUBMISSION AND AM STIL USING THE SAME FIXED DEPOSIT . DO I NEED TO PROF THE MONEY IN THE FIXED DEPOSIT. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by ShowYoung: 2:20pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
portablesuzy: I advise to pinpoint the main reason for your visa refusal using the GCMS notes. A fixed deposit is not a cash asset readily available. This might be the obstacle. Instead of guessing, get GCMS notes. 1 Like |

idirect: It is right. All you need to do is provide explanations with evidence. Someone could have invested so as to further in his/her education. The important thing is for the funds to be readily accessible and unencumbered |

portablesuzy: Did you get your refusal notes? I think the VO's concern is the fixed deposit. Did you show that you have access to the funds? 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by ShowYoung: 2:28pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
etyno: 1. Study Permit (better option) for ages above 3 or Visit Visa (any age). 2. Yes. SOP has no format. It requires a good presentation. 3. Yes, you can itemize. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by ShowYoung: 2:31pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
idirect: Option 1. You can submit both the new account and the account that has an history. They must be backed by the letter they promised to give you concerning the dividend payment Option 2. You can transfer the funds from the new account to the account with history. You must be able to link the two accounts with the letter they promised to give you about dividend payment. Note that your SOP must be sound in explaining the relationship and reasons for using dividends to finance your education. 1 Like |

Yemisade: There are so many things to consider such as; 1. What documentation bottleneck are you talking about. 2. Why do you want to go for a degree and not at least a top-up degree (1 year degree) which is scarce in Canada or PGD/PGC/PBD? 3. Can you show POF for two or more years? 4. Can you defend your purpose of travel considering your choice of program and education level? I believe the bottleneck you are running for is what you want to go meet. Your HND coupled with your job experience are assets to eliminate risks of refusal in many ways However, if you can present your case well, you can be fine. People who have master's degree have got visas with diploma programs. |

Hello everyone. Please, is eligibility meant to begin after or before biometrics? Or it does not matter? Please, respond. Thanks. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by ShowYoung: 2:47pm On Jun 05, 2023 |
Ekeowacollins01: Statement of Purpose (SOP) is used by first time applicants to explain why the visa application should be approved with respects to home ties, financial resources, purpose of visit among other things including what may seem ambiguous if any. Letter of Explanation (LOE) is used for reapplication to address VO's concerns in the prior application(s). It will encompass SOP and how the VO's concerns in the prior application are addressed. Both LOE and SOP serve almost the same purpose. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Good afternoon everyone, I applied on the 31st of May and got my biometric letter same day but my husband is yet to get his. Please what should I do? Thank you |

kweje: I want to assume the account is not a corperate account because if it is, I believe you should have no issue explaining. If this is true, I will suggest you do the followings; 1. Let Dad provide an affidavit that they both run the company and the funds go into Mum's account. The account number and name should be stated. 2. Let Mum show some receipts linking and confirming some transactions with the account. 3. Let Dad present company's documents including the registration ones stating his name. The three points will explain the relationships between Mum, the account, Dad and the company. This is only my suggestion and comes out of my thinking and should not be taken as a professional advice. This suggestion and all contents I provide on Nairaland may be incorrect, outdated and should not be regarded as professional advice. 2 Likes |

FolamiAsap: According to the notes you presented, the followings are the issues; 1. You did not explain the source of funds used. 2. You did not successfully prove career/academic progression. 3. You did not successfully prove your purpose of visit or applying to study. You will do well to address the three concerns above and increase your chances of having your visa approved on reapplication. |

Hello everyone. I got admitted to centennial college, Toronto and my visa has been approved. I’m Planning to travel in two weeks time but I don’t know anyone there. I need someone who can help me with accommodation or someone looking for a roommate pending the time I get my own space 🙏. And if there is any group you can recommend for centennial college I’ll appreciate. |
