…as BATS-Disciples Southeast Zone launches in Anambra

Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shettima Disciples BATS-D, Southeast Zone got formally introduced and inaugurated in Awka, ANAMBRA State capital, Saturday, October 22, 2022.

The august event attracted the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Youth Leader, Honourable Dayo Israel, as well as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burundi, His Excellency, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba and the National Convener of BATS-D, Engr Dr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh.

Speaking during the event, the APC National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel lauded the group’s passion for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He was also full of glowing adjectives for the APC presidential candidate. His words, “Asiwaju is a man of kind heart; giver, compassionate. Many people from this country regardless of tribe and region have found economic freedom because they find their daily bread from the fabourable environment he provided.

“He has always been pro southeast. He has never been tribally biased. He gives everybody a chance at prosperity. He has always carried the IGBOs along. He has not taken any political position since he left office as Lagos State governor. He will ensure massive infrastructural development beyond what Buhari has done. He will develop Igboland and ensure that there is economic advancement opportunity available for all regardless of where one comes from, “ Honourable Israel stated.

Praising BATS-D, Southeast Zone’s courage, he said, “Despite threat to life, you have been courageous to ensure you deliver Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

He thanked the organizers for creating the platform for people to support Tinubu and assured that all who work for Jagaban will be appreciated.


On his part, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burundi, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba lauded the effort of the group. He affirmed his patronship of the group insisting that the south easterners need to learn to support other tribes and extend handshakes across the Niger for them to be ready for presidency.

He however enjoined the APC national youth leader to make sure the party keeps its promises to Ndigbo.


On his part, the Convener and National Coordinator of BATS-D, Engr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh reiterated his group’s resolve to change the narrative of the south east politics. He noted that the southeast inauguration was the second outing of the group as the first was in Abuja which was the National Launch of the group.

He disclosed that there are many southeast electorate who understand why Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best and the one to win the forthcoming presidential election, 2023, who cowed into silence by the bullying tactics of antagonists.

Aniagoh intimated that the objective of BATS-D, which has coordinators in all the states of the federation down to ward level, was to encourage all progressive minds to come out of their closets and help save the country from getting into the wrong hands that will worsen its situation.

“We intentionally fixed the southeast inauguration in Anambra State to stir those still on their closets to come out and be part of history without fear.

“We are not just Tinubu supporters, we are his disciples. We believe in the principle that rules this human resource manager par excellence and we are spreading the good news and training other disciples down to the grassroots.”

In his acceptance speech, the host coordinator, Obinna Muoma while appreciating members of the high table and all who attended the event stressed BATS-D’s resolve to puncture all the false claims made against the Tinubu project as well as create a ripple effect of reorientation that will change the political narrative of the region.

His words, “ we are deflating the propaganda bubbles of our political opponents and recruiting more BATS disciples thereby creating a ripple effect that will ensure an unprecedented victory for the APC and Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming elections.”

The state youth leader of the APC was also present and was full of gratitude to BATS-D for promoting their candidate. He promised the party’s full support of the group’s activities while encouraging their to align their structure with them.

Also in attendance were the non indigenes group as well as all the 21 LG executive members of ANAMBRA State BATS-D. Not to mention the state coordinators of the four state coordinators of the other southeast states.

High points of the event were the inauguration ceremony proper officiated by the National State Youth Leader, Hon Dayo who also lightened the mood with an Igbo praise session.
