Children are the responsibility of adults and until they achieve the age of 18 most children are under the authority of an adult.It could be parents, custodian, orphanage homes etc.

I will appeal to the national assembly and INEC to include in the Electoral law the penalty of arresting the parents or custodian of any underage voter with heavy prison sentence of upto 2 years if they can't produce evidence that the child is upto 18 years.

I believe this will go a long way to discourage the issue of underage voters.
