Over the year, Awka, the capital of the Anambra State has been known for it old, funny and rejected looks. Owing to the fact that the previous administrations had preferred fixing flashing light on highway poles especially during the festive periods and other funny projects that's not durable or in anyway influential in the development of the State.


These lights and other eye catching decorations deteriorate and eventually spoils with time, returning the face of the major highway and other roads to its old funny and funky looks unlike her neighbouring States of Enugu, Owerri and even Abakiliki. Awka and Anambra has always been the old shadow and version of itself repeatedly.


With the emergence of the young vibrant and capacity drive MD/CEO of The Awka Capital Territory Development Agency, there is no doubt that Awka's original masterpiece plan will be invoked and implemented for rapid growth and development of the No. 1 State Capital in the Southeast.
