Salami’s Suspension Is Judicial Terrorism – Aregbesola by Demdem(m): 9:17am On Sep 16, 2011
OSOGBO- Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, has described the suspension and travails of President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, as judicial terrorism.

Receiving report of the Osun Truth and Reconciliation Committee, TRC, set up by his administration in Osogbo, yesterday, Governor Aregbesola called on all the noble people in the country to rise against the persecution of Justice Salami and other Judges who stood for truth and justice.

Aregbesola in a speech titled “truth is immutable,” said while the effects of other types of terrorism could easily be noticed, that of judicial terrorism could not be easily detected.

He reiterated that his administration decided to set up TRC not to witch-hunt or persecute, intimidate or harass anybody, but to have injustices of the past investigated and corrected.

Aregbesola recalled that before the advent of his administration “the state was under siege, total despotism, where abuse of human rights was rampart.”
