Dis Guy:

We can easily repay the money they just need to see the projects through

if the government makes driving licenses compulsory and training mandatory before being issued one, many young people can start business as Driving instructors, so many people will forever need accredited driving lessons before getting work or getting their license!!

Not World Bank money we don't need.
Most World Bank project monies hardly ever find their way to the projects. I won't be surprised if 50% of the funds were spent on 'consulting services', 'training' the farmers or something equally ridiculous. World Bank assistance to a country like Nigeria is redundant, considering that government already set up bogey banks like NACB and BOI, who nobody knows what they are doing.

hmm funny enough Fadama project keeps getting money with their rural agricultural programmes and the fact they have gone from phase 1 to i think phase three shows they are making some progress though i dont know how low they set the benchmark. but with everything in Nigeria progress is like a little drop hard noticeable but progress all the same esp with those at the bottom

There are many projects the FG/State government are getting credit for being sponsored by WB together with private sector

although i agree, half of the money goes into word bank appointed country supervisors and consultant, people like the current minister of agriculture feed fat of these sort of projects, so many of them about
I think i read a report about Dfid project in the guardian, only about 18p out of every pound actually gets to their intended target vast majority going into country heads and Gap Yah boys fresh out of university with their developmental economics papers using daddys network
