Hi Femmy2010, Please i need your help. Bought a camry 2007 hybrid, salvage title(Accidented at the rear), it shipped from CA in February and should arrive Lagos within the next two weeks. I am not sure the shipping line yet. There are 3 cars in the container and i am aware we all have to use one agent but put up the cost clearing each car. The guy with the two other cars is nominating an agent and i am yet to receive his quote for clearing the 07 Camry. Can you please give me a quote for the camry 2007 hybrid, salvage title(Accidented at the rear)and would not mind nominating you in case the price difference is significant. Ipsi: + Same N350k is what i would clear a 2007 Accord. The 2007 Camry has an higher valuation compared to the accord.If his 2007 Camry were shipped roro then N450k would have cleared it. Thanks and looking forward to working for you in future. 1 Like |

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping the fact that it is accidented would reduce the cost of clearing, considering that also affected the purchase price, which was about $7,000. What do you think? My budget was actually 400-450k but now yoy say its 500-550k i dey fear o!! |

@Femmy, help me out. Rather than just how much to clear what are the steps for a newbie? Example Do I need a 'Form M' first? A set of tyres will be shipped (in addition to those currently on the car) will that be a problem? Is it better to ship roro or containerised? Is it better to make me or the agent the assignee on the shipping forms? Do the clearance fees you are quoting include your fees? If not, what is the 'typical' fee? |

Hi Femmy2010, the car will be coming from Europe with a set of winter tyres and 'normal' tyres. What about other personal effects/, can they be locked in the boot or something? I've heard bad thing about the port or is that all in the past. This is why I thought RoRo was less secure. Do you work out of Tin Can or Apapa? Thanks femmy2010: |
