Anyone that thinks the next election will be based on voting is not serious. There will never be another election again. APC has decided, during Buhari, that elections don't favor them and allowing for such is a mistake. It's the same mistake that took out Jonathan.

APC rigged at a level that is comedic the last election and there was no reprocussion. So that is that. There will never been another election and they will never dare doing something that will jeopordize what they have going on. The last few state elections have not even bothered distributing ballots. Just know that you're officially in a 1 party dictatorship for the rest of Nigeria's existence.

In the past we had sham elections. In the future we will not have them. They will have an election date but nobody is going to waste their energy distributing ballots. They will spend money campaigning because that's how party members get paid but it is over.

The US, who used to pressure countries about democracy has also decided this is a waste of energy and is not helping them abroad so they, the UN and others don't care anymore the way they did in the early 00s and it was their pressure that was making banana republics like Nigeria at least try to behave.
