I can’t wait for the protest to start. Any Nigerian youth sitting at home on that faithful day is a wasted entity that has allowed poverty to occupy its vessel. Enough of all this rubbish. We need our country back and we must achieve it.

SporaD8:

My mom use to buy it in bulk when coming back from the village.
She'd cook efo-riro with it and I would painstakingly remove them all and throw away before eating the vegetables.
One day, I mistakenly crunch one still left in the efo... Oh my gosh! it taste so yummy and delicious!
Since then, I can't seem to have enough of it.
it's a pity I don't know where to find it in Lagos market.

This was my exact same story! I removed everything and ate that midnight

LocalFARMERS:
This Caterpillar delicacy is loved by many. It is an intercontinental meal. It is consumed by People from around the World. From Africa, Asia, Europe etc. Within Africa, it is a special meal in West African, Central Africa and East African Countries.

This is an expensive meal in Most 5 star hotels in Nigeria and abroad. A plate of this Caterpillar delicacy is in hundreds of thousands in Hotels like Nicon Hiltop, Sheraton, Protea etc. For local consumption, this Caterpillar is also expensive. During the season, a Mudu goes for 10k upward. At this period of it's scarcity, a Mudu goes for over 50k

This is majorly found and consumed in Kaduna, Niger, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kwara, Calabar etc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBPEEovAQSU

I watched the full video and it's stunning that some folks in parts of Nigeria are breaking the boundaries of what is conventionally eaten. I can't eat foods cooked with caterpillars as seen in the video (such as the Egunsi (Egusi) soup with caterpillars). I'd rather take an enriched Egunsi (Egusi) soup with eggs in it in a worse case scenario if there's no white meat (turkey, chicken since I don't eat red meat) in the Egusi soup mix... My taste buds won't agree with that caterpillar soup.

To each his own.

Exactly, You hardly know that it's part of the protein mixup when it's done and packaged. It's a very good source of protein and vitamins.
