Isn’t this what I have been wailing about for nearly 4 years now? The season he choked qualification for the UCL, we had two opportunities to make top 4 but he chocked it. Under this guy we never raise our game when it matters most.

Forget all the aura and vibes nonsense, this team is mentally weaker than cotton wool. We also don’t have a strong voice amongst the players on the field or inside the locker room. There is absolutely no character. I questioned making Odegaard a captain, he don’t think he has the capacity to push this team on or off the field, it doesn’t question his talent in any way.

I am not necessarily talking about his on the pitch form even though that has been poor recently. I just don't think he has the ability to motivate this team to push beyond their abilities on the field. He is to docile, not vocal enough and can come off as indifferent to the responsibilities of the captain. Take for instance, our discipline issues. While I lay the blame primarily on Arteta as it is a reflection of him, I still want to hold Odegaard accountable because he is the captain. He should be able to caution his team mates whenever it looks like a bad tackle or after a yellow is dished. We need someone who can influence the players when we are down.

Arteta is delusional and egotistical.
