Afe Babalola University Ado Ekiti (ABUAD) is a private institution founded by a philanthropist and a lawyer, Aare Afe Babalola in 2009. The institution is located in Ado Ekiti, along Ado-Ikare road.
Afe Babalola University has been accredited by the National Universities Commission, NUC. The University aims at reconstructing the educational system in Nigeria by providing skills and improving excellence.
The University operates a collegiate system and has six (6) such colleges. They are the College of Law, College of Engineering, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy, College of Sciences and College of Social and Management Sciences.
The University also runs a pre-degree and degree programs foundation for the above-listed colleges.
