To drastically reduce food inflation, the Nigerian government should consider supplying fertilizers to every state free of charge and making the sale of fertilizers a criminal offense. Additionally, allowing the importation of livestock feed duty-free would be beneficial. Implementing these measures could make food inflation, hunger, and starvation a thing of the past in Nigeria within six months. An improved food supply would positively impact the economy, as economic growth is challenging in an environment plagued by food crises. Addressing the current food crisis in Nigeria is crucial for the nation's overall economic recovery and growth.

Did you remember Covid19 palliative saga? There's nothing our politicians won't take advantage of.

Are also you aware that the world bank has in recent years donated pre-paid electricity meters to Nigeria to be distributed for free but when it got to the states they sold it to users at unaffordable prices?

Distributing Free fertilizers would make only the cabal class richer as they would divert it for personal gains just as people diverted FG paid (subsidy) fuel to other countries and made huge profits.

Free fertiliser is NOT the problem.

The problem is the BANDITRY and TERRORISM that the FG has allowed to spread throughout the country.

Bandits and Terrorists have been so EMBOLDENED by the INACTION of government and its agencies that they now ENTIRE communities to ransom.

People who should be focused on farming are focused on NOT getting killed and kidnapped.

All the FREE fertilisers in the world would not convince people to go back to their farmlands if they think they'd be kidnapped/killed and their wives and daughters raped. Or they think that herdsmen would level their crops to feed cattle.

Insecurity is the REAL issue. Farmine is just a symptom.
