Bsba Atiku talked as if he and his former boss could tolerate loquacious character like Ndume in the senate while they were in power. We know how many senate presidents they removed as a result of expressing their opposing views .. Baba ahould go and be resting in his Dubai base

I disagree with Atiku. The position of Senate chief whip is the APC's decision and at any time, the APC can decide who they want as chief whip.

Many do not know that the term Chief Whip simply means Majority Chief Whip. Ndume holds the position on the request of the party and it isn't an elective one.

APC can wake up tomorrow and ask for the Senate leader to be removed, it is their right and choice. So if the party feels the person occupying that position is demarketing the party, they can choose another person.

What about the position of Senate President?

Atiku, Ali Ndume could not control himself. His outburst was more of an ego thing than altruism. He was not removed from the senate; he was removed as a leader in the senate as he had no maturity for that position.

This was what we expected from you when you were asked to ask Iyorchia Ayu to resign when he could not control himself and publicly proved he was a biased party chairman. Had you won, you'd have given him a bigger position like SGF, but were you thinking far and deep?
What do you think of the ministers who by your poll underperformed and of which you wrote so long a monologue asking the president to sack them on the occasion of his first year in office. They are all still sitting pretty. If he had sacked them as you wished, it will send a signal that he's a no-nonsense president. Instead he even added two more including one for cows. Is the president thinking far and deep?
Hypocrite

A chief whip has the job of whipping uhis party legislators into line
His job is to enforce discipline and I ensure his party's legislators vote to support the party

He cannot speak against the party
It is dishonourable for Ndume to do so and expect to stay in office
He should have resigned

Did chief whip ever speak against Buhari

These guys must think we are stupid

Numerous is fre to criticise but no5 as chief whip

Also what happens with Whip is an APC affair
It is no concern of Atiku

Only APC senators can vote for him
It is not the Senate that removed him but APC senators

How can a Babalawo lead mass in a Catholic Church

That position is the face of APC in the senate

Well-said. Also note that with most Northern leaders, it is never about loyalty to a Party. It is about abiding loyalty to the North and her interest above all else. They will easily work across Party line, hand in hand, to secure the North's interest be that interest detrimental to what is best for all Nigerians.

Did we hear Atiku criticise Buhari vehemently during the 8 years PMB was in charge as he now descends on BAT daily and non-stop?

Also, did we hear Ndume , as he describes the APC Government of Tinubu he is part of, call the government of Buhari a kleptocracy which it would thoroughly merit for being arguably the most corrupt government in the post 1999 history of Nigeria?

Can you call your father an armed robber and kidnapper wrongly in the public square and expect him to still host and celebrate you in his house?

The desperation of Northerners is too transparent and unrefined. They won't get away with it against Tinubu and Yorubas. With all due respect, Tinubu is not GEJ.

Tinubu has been in power slightly over a year for God sake and these Northerners are forming alliances across Party lines to attack him whereas the SW, that helped Buhari to power and to retain it for a second term, had always been dignified , and never treacherous, criticising Buhari.

Perhaps people don't know what a kleptocracy is. I dare any fair person to read below and claim Ndume deserves no sanction for labelling the Party he belongs to , and is supposed to defend at all times as the right one in power, with such a tag publicly.

He went way too far and it is crystal clear APC is 100% right to demand Ndume leave the Party and speak his 'truth' from the platform of another Party if he deems the APC unfit to lead Nigeria.

People speaking in support of Ndume do not realise they are ludicrously suggesting he gets a national merit award or pat on the back for more or less being an internal saboteur against his own Party and calling Tinubu, his Party leader, and his fellow APC leaders kleptocrats.

Where is that done or condoned anywhere in the world? Can you do similar in the UK or USA without your position quickly becoming untenable?

We know sey body dey pepper Northerners at how Tinubu is insisting on leading Nigeria independently but his Presidency, as I always said it would, is becoming a watershed test for Nigeria because, per Tinubu being a very strong and resolute Southerners, it is exposing the horrendous intolerance of Northerners.

They are used to leading as they please arrogantly, as we saw with Buhari, but must have hijack power over the regime of southern Presidents.

I always knew issue would take a very rancorous and dangerous turn when a strong-willed and independent-minded Southerner gains power and is insisting on being accorded his right to lead independently as was granted Buhari.

What we are seeing now is the rebellion from a region not ready to grant that because, fundamentally, they do not respect Southerners and feel power belongs to them and merely on loan when a Southerners, who they automatically expect to 'know his place', takes over.

Naturally, their mindset means there must be a clash when a strong Southerner from an influential ethnic group, like Tinubu, takes over and won't let them teleguide or control his government and decision-making. That is what we are seeing now.

We have to remember that Buhari ran his Presidency with an inner Fulani crew for God sake and all Nigerians could do or say nothing other than endure and pray.

Tinubu won't stand for their bullying and the Yoruba leader and intelligentsia class are firmly behind him. Even Bode George, Tinubu's worst enemy, shows this awareness by demanding time for Tinubu considering the horrendously damaged economy BAT met on ground.

Northerners cannot win this one. It is very important for the survival and unity of Nigeria they show democratic decorum to wait till 2027 and then do their best to remove Tinubu at the polls. No gang up will succeed to oust Tinubu without creating a dangerous paradigm shift forever for a nation already horrendously divided and on the brink.

Atiku's talk is unfair and plain wrong given what Ndume did that is condemnable and unacceptable political treachery 101. The North should be reminded to be guided in action and utterances. They do not own Nigeria. This will blow up in their faces.
