The Akwa Ibom music industry is one of the fastest-growing industries in the State and nationwide. Over the years, it has produced many talented musicians which have through their art, set trends and and have put the State in a better position to brag.

Though the sector is still in its infant stage, the quality of music it sends out, the national and international recognitions have improved greatly.

In this article, we will be highlighting top ten 5 artistes from Akwa Ibom setting records locally, nationally and internationally.

On the list we have;

1.Mc Galaxy

Innocent Udeme Udofot better known as MC Galaxy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He rose to fame after winning the Davido dance competition in 2012.

Galaxy is from Uyo LGA in Akwa Ibom State. The Akwa Ibom singer rose to fame after winning the Davido dance competition in 2012.

Since then, he has made a lot of good dancehall music which of all, ‘Sekem’made most trends nationwide and internationally because of the historic dance step that came with it. The music video surpassed over 4 million views on Youtube.

MC Galaxy currently runs his own record label, MCG Entertainment, Sekem Kitchen and other businesses.

2.BNXN (fka Buju)

Daniel Benson is the latest sensation in the music industry. Daniel which is also known by his stage name BNXN (formally known as Buju) has been into music when he was a teenager.

Bnxn is from Akwa Ibom State but grew up in Ogun State.

Bnxn went from being just a simple Akwa Ibom boy to a popular singer in some months. In February 2018, he released his first record, “Catch a Vibe” which was on top charts and trends.

Since then, he has done collaboration with the likes of grammy winner Burna Boy, Zlatan, Ladipoe and the rest.

He is one of the best from the State out there.

3.Young John

John Saviours Udomboso (born 16 February 1995), known professionally as Young Jonn, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer, from Akwa Ibom state to be precised.

9.Optional Qwin

Queensley Eno-obong Kingsley popularly know as “Optional Qwin” is a Nigerian Female Artist and a Song writer.

She is from Nsit Ibom LGA in Akwa Ibom State and she’s the second child of her parent

She started writing songs when she was 6 years old and she started recording in “2018” and drop her first song “High sense” in 2019

She had her hit songs like “Go to Court” and “For Me” ft Zillions Dondada (AkwaIbom Legendary Rapper).

10.Kizz Brown

Kingsley Imeh Willies also known as Kizz Brown ( Big Kizz) aka Dakruzceebobo is an Akwa Ibom/Nigerian afro musician. The afro singer made trends with his first single Akwa Ibom The Land Of Promise, which he dedicated to his Dear State Akwa Ibom State, followed by another single Fake Friends

Big Kizz Aspire to studied Mass Communication and journalism.
He has made about 8 tracks cridited to his name. This Young and Handsome Singer is a look out singer in Akwa Ibom State.
He once said " I will be bigger than wizkid, Davido and burns boy" which in no doubt can come true.

The afro singer wants to make music with the likes of 2Baba, Burna boy and Tiwa Savage, Fireboy Dml, Rema, Joeboy, wizkid, Davido, and also wish to collaborate with big international artist like Chris Brown, Lil baby, Cardi B, Dababy and 6ix9ine.
