In 2015, election in the South was about good governance after APC promised Nigerians heaven on earth WHILE in the North, 2015 election was about removing a southerner and installing their own.

Now this current protest, to the southerners, it's about BAT reversing his anti-people policies that have caused unbearable hunger WHILE in the north, the protest is about regime change

Northerners don't want regime change or good governance... they want to be on there own, they want Russia to annex them(reason they're waving the Russian flag up North), which is a good thing. lols

If that is not the case, and they equally don't want good governance.... If all they want is power to go back to the North.

Mk I fess tell them here on Nairaland, there suffer never start, them go suffer for complete 8yrs in vain.

To be candid, president Tinubu dissapointed many Nigerians with his recent nation wide broadcast.
He was just praising himself without addressing the issues that led to the protest.
All his claims of CNG buses, support to farmers,e.t.c. cannot be substantiated.
The old man is just too stubborn for my liking.
Just to address the nation to calm the protesters,he was indirectly telling them to go to hell,I dont care attitude.
He should know that most governors in the North would prefer the protest to continue till he's booted out of the office.
He should apply much wisdom instead of being unneccessarily stubborn.

Waving Russian flags is synonymous to calling for regime change.

It is a clear indication that the protest is sponsored.
Instead of him to douse the tension with his broadcast,he was busy stating his achievement.
Achievement that hangs in the pocket of few individuals.

How would continuous protest get him booted out of the office?

Please change your title to election protest in the North vs South West.... There's nothing like a singular South in Nigeria.

You lost touch of reality in ur submissive opinion. For me, i understand the north and their politics.

The north doesn't want to be a second fiddle where political decisions aren't exclusive hers. The north and it's subject believe Nigeria is it's bet right and no other tribe should take political decisions unless it is him.

How come northerners didn't see reason to call in Russia to lead the country during Buhari bad leadership, after all most northerners never liked Buhari style of leadership?

They know Russian influence with military takeover in most African countries of late. Of course they realize, they a have a sizeable number of military men in the hierarchy Nigeria Arm forces and it have undue advantage over other nationals.

These are the reason behind their call for Russia to come to their rescue nothing more.

Nigeria doesn't belong to the north or the south but a collective patrimony of all Nigerian people not to a section of the country.
