nothing should happen to that loyal soldier, he was only defending himself. If the soldier was killed, nobody will be arrested and we will not be talking about any useless teenager here. To hell with the dead boy.

It will so disappointed if the youth end this protest, because if we always come out for protest and one or two people got killed, we step back. Why?!..

Those that died during the protest what is there benefit... What did they die for?

Omo Nigeria youth should wake up. Once we end this protest, I urge all Nigeria youth never to come out to protest again only if we are ready to die for our dear county...

I hear from both parties before jumping into conclusion.

Don't underestimate anybody, you see these teenagers nowadays? They're more deadly than adults...... Something would have triggered that soldier to open fire.

Mynd44:

When you attacked armed security officers, you are not an "innocent peaceful protester"

You become a willing participant in an armed conflict.

Officers have the same right to live and security as protesters, if you as protesters want to attack them, they have the right to self-defence.

From the account up their (if true) nothing will happen. The officer will only be redeployed.

Same thing happens with American police officers and citizens. If you attack them, they will respond

I cannot carry a water and you carry an axe you are saying that you are defending yourself against an attack. Neither stick vs a gun.

It's shocking that someone at your level can read but still not comprehend.

Nowhere in the explanation was the boy mentioned as one of those committing a crime.

So you think that if the boy was among those attacking the army, the spokesman wouldn't have said it?

People are killed from stray bullets all the time in Nigeria.

So disappointed in your prejudice.

Wow

prompting a soldier to fire a warning shot to scare the hoodlums away, which unfortunately led to the death of a 16-year-old boy

A warning shot should be done vertically up, not horizontally toward the protesters

The officers name has been confirmed as Adewale Ayuba

Tinubu this is not fair to the north.

Yoruba soldiers are at the same time raping and touching the breasts of married Muslim women. This is not fair.

You're absolutely right bro, indeed yoruba soldiers have been raping hijab wearing married Muslim women, and also trying to reduce the population of the North out of nothing but envy, jealousy and eternal hate for our beloved hardworking northerners who's only offence is speaking up against suffering and smiling. Nawa for the suffersticated people of the brown roof Republic
