IGP deploys tactical operatives to rescue 20 medical students kidnapped in Benue

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the deployment of tactical operatives and assets to ensure the prompt rescue of the kidnapped medical students in Benue State.

Twenty medical students of the University of Maiduguri and Jos, traveling to Enugu, were kidnapped along the Otukpo/Otukpa/Enugu Road on Thursday.

I wish the kidnapped safety and may the kidnappers face their dead end as soon as possible... Amen!

Why must it always be “Tinubu orders”, “IGP orders”, “Chief of army orders”, etc. Are security agents not paid to carry out their assignments. Without the orders, they just stand aloof and watch things go wrong. I have never heard “Trump orders”, “Biden orders”, etc.

It is the job of the IGP to go after criminals, just like other security agencies. The duty of Tinubu/FG is to provide funding for operations without delay.

If security agencies cannot deal with such problems in the country, then there is a very big problem in the land.
